Wouldn't that round down to 9.5?

Also, yeah, Burial at Sea looks amazing.

Whoa, Bioshock Infinite was NOT the best game ever. I don't even think it's better than the first one. Granted, it was very good, but it did have numerous problems.

2 = 1 >>>> Infinite

I'd say 1 & 2 were 9.0's while Infinite was an 8.

I'll tell you where System Shock 2 fits in that equation once I've completed it.

I completely agree with you except the part about 2, but only because I've never played it.

It's a great Sequel, the little sister mechanic can be a bore mostly, but you really start to feel like you're in the body of a Big Daddy, if you liked 1, you should like 2.

It's not as much of a drag as they make it sound on paper and it's certainly not as bad as that bit in Bioshock 1

Bioshock 2 was definitely the best game of the three, though it had the weakest story.
Infinite has a much better story than the other two, but honestly I'd say the weakest gameplay looking back, though I really really liked the sky-rails, but then I just like going fast so.

I don't know. I hated how the guns behaved in the first game. The tommy gun is especially left in my mind as firing slow as hell for a fully automatic gun and having a bullet stray of 5 meters left and right of the target even if you did single shots.

I think there's an upgrade for that.

There's also shotgun and pistol upgrades so who gives a fuck about other weapons.

but no yeah 2 was easily the best one in terms of gameplay, i think the drill is just fantastical alone and i would happily play the whole game using just that if it wasn't totally impractical until near the end

i'm sorry i don't really count world building as such an all important facet of storytelling to the point where a story that consists of just world building just tickles my dingus

i happen to like more than one interesting character in stories

That's great because the first 2 are better in those respects too
