There are 6 ways to become a god, the six walking ways. The one you described is the 4th one, mantling: walk like them until they walk like you. Here is more info.

I feel as if the Companions questline could have had more of an ending. And I'd like to kill the rookie who keeps disrespecting me.

Man, I found one of the mannequins in my Hearthfire house duplicated my Ancient Falmer Armor 6 times.

>Smithed up to legendary. Gave some to both of my followers.(Derkeethus and Female Initiate.)(DB glitch)
>Got Dawnbreaker
>New Dawnguard Spells
>Some Dragonborn stuff

Meridia, Auri-el, and Stendarr just have the best hand-outs.

I feel like all of the quest lines should have had more quests to them. I never actually did start or play through the whole Empire/Thalmor vs. The Stormcloaks, but the College, Dark Brotherhood, and Companion questlines could have seriously, seriously benefitted from some interim quests, like "I need to go over this stuff that you got for me. In the meantime, I have found out that several of these important dudes need stuff killed/need magic stuff done/need to be killed. Oh, and there may be stuff in their quests that loosely tie in to the whole storyline of our main thing."

I think the College of Winterhold suffered the absolute worst from the lack of pacing. Although the Companions deserve an honorable mention because the whole Werewolf Fighter's Guild reveal happening pretty freaking early.

Granted the reveal was not planned and if it wasn't an emergency you wouldn't have known until later.
But I completely agree with the college. Here's 2-3 fairly simple quests new guy. Whoops the headmaster is dead I guess you're the headmaster now.

The Thieves Guild questline is my favorite by far. Followed by the Empire v Stormcloak one, because the Siege on Whiterun was pretty freaking cool.

I wasn't a fan of the Imperial/Stormcloak questline.

"An axe to offer loyalty to Ulfrick? Why no, I will not comply! Let them try to take the city!"
"You? I'm disappointed in you!"

Jesus Balgruuf, it's not like you didn't see this shit coming......

It's not like...we TRIED to offer the olive branch of peace or something...

You took the Stormcloak side?!

You know that Ulfric is a Thalmor sleeper agent, notorious racist, and pretty bad leader, right.

Honestly, both sides can eat a dick. The whole civil war is just a load of childish political banter. The whole peace meeting at the throat of the world for the main quest felt like I was trying to get a bunch of 5 year olds from going full on nuclear meltdown with their temper tantrums.

"Alright, now if we can just discuss the matter of Alduin destroying the known wo-"
"What's that Thalmor bitch doing here?!"
"For fucks sake Ulfric just sit the fuck down......"

They should have made each quest affect the other quests in a way. Not in a game breaking way.

At least they did a little when I joined both stealth guilds and Delvin said"You've been making friends all over" or something

I dunno. I felt like the Empire side was actually like really rustled off about it entirely. Nobody wanted to fight this war, they knew it was stupid, but they had to.

Ulfric and the fucking Stormcloaks were just bitching and moaning. While Ulfric had some legit character as to WHY he would bitch and moan, it doesn't really excuse it.

Dawnguard stopped working, and doing the whole "delete and reinstall DLC to harddrive" bit doesn't fix it.

What the fuck man...

EDIT: OH WAIT NEVERMIND! Turns out that because the only way to fix a broken DLC is to delete and reinstall it, if it breaks, you have to restart the whole daisies thing. What I thought was the problem not getting fixed was actually Dawnguard resetting itself in entiredy!

Man I don't want to go through that shit again what the hell!?
