well his ult does seem pretty broke if you look at it. short cd, basically free reign to run amok and kill ppl. put it on someone like PA (doho) and let em run up and crit someone then blink back. simple yet powerful

There is also the fact his Q is a diffusal blade on a 12 second cooldown. So basically Omniknight will stop existing soon at all

Purge cannot remove Omniknight's Repel. (You can see the list of abilities that can't be removed by normal dispels here.)

Let's talk about Oracle's ult. False Promise is really strong. 7/8/9 seconds of invisibility and damage delay, like yooooo. (From here on I'm going to use numbers for MAX RANKS on Oracle's abilities.)

Purifying Flames has a 3 second CD, so you could theoretically cast 2 (3 if you're really good with your timing) on the ulted ally during that time - and remember, the delayed healing is doubled when it is provided at the end of the duration. If you nuked your ulted ally just once with a max rank E, you'd be doing 360 damage but 792 healing. Now keep in mind, this healing will go down with successive Purifying Flames, because the HoT lasts 9 seconds - so assuming you cast your first Purifying Flames RIGHT BEFORE you ulted your ally (which is best), the second time you cast Purifying Flames, your HoT only "ticks" for 6 seconds (528 healing) before False Promise ends and all healing up to that point goes through and heals your ally. The third time your HoT only ticks for 3 seconds (264 damage). Altogether, you'd be doing 1080 damage and 1584 healing, still providing you with a gain at the end. Having an additional healer like Dazzle would also be very beneficial (but then your team comp might suffer from a lack of CC). In all honesty even 504 healing is significant considering your ally will only be taking AoE damage (unless they are revealed).

Attacking and casting abilities doesn't break the invis, and if you put Fate's Edict on the enemy your ulted ally is trying to kill? That 50% damage amplification. (Hence why Oracle is a right-click carry's best friend, but nukers aren't the biggest fan.)

You're most likely going to see a lot of Oracle and Legion Commander duos. Legion Commander ults an enemy, Oracle ults Legion Commander and then Fate's Edict's LC's target? Guaranteed ults, even against most harder targets (i.e. other carries in the mid- to late-game.)

This whole Assassin event is cool! I'm a huge fan of the new Phantom Assassin Arcana - I may even get it since it's 20% off.

It can remove Guardian Angel though, same as Diffusal. Boler is right, he's a hard counter to Omni, especially since his ult can make your carry survive through the omni ult. I don't think it will be the end of Omni in pubs though, seeing as he had one of the highest winrates.

Now that I can see the numbers and full ability descriptions, it's pretty clear how this hero works to me now and I smell a nerf incoming. It's pretty ridiculous what he can do. I've only played one game against him so far and crushed him though. He's pretty squishy and lacks a stun, so tanky supports with stuns seem a good idea for the laning phase. The stuns are essential to keep the ulted carry locked down. I picked Ogre.

Oh I see, I wasn't considering Guardian Angel for some reason (even though that's kind of Omni's bread and butter, whoops).

I watched the spotlight on Oracle - I hadn't actually seen his Q in action so I didn't realize that the purge resulted in a root effect with how it works. Boyfriend explained why there's a difference between Oracle's purge and Diffusal, and it's an innnnteresting concept. Oracle's still incredibly susceptible to CC, but considering how much damage negation he has, it makes sense.

Also can't believe Snoop Dogg is doing a Dota 2 Announcer pack - or at least wants to, I'm assuming he's gauging user feedback?

I dunno if you saw my link, but basically there was a Reddit post with the request to have him do it and a link to a change.org petition (most likely as a joke) and Snoop responded to it himself saying he'd do it. So I guess now his people contact Valve people and they sort something out? Not sure how that works.

Did my first (well technically second) Twitch stream and it was a Dota 2 game, you can see the VOD here.

I get a little salty though because of the two games I played, one ended up with me soloing bottom as Leshrack on Radiant (and then proceeding to die more than I should have), and the other started with our team letting Axe freefarm (via creepskipping) our lane. Was also trying to teach some people the basics of the game since they came from Dota 1.

I'm on a 10 win streak atm, feels good mang. Storm Spirit seems to be the true hero for me, so versatile, so mobile, so stronk. I've also been playing a bit of Brewmaster, and despite sucking with him I seem to do pretty well and win games, so that's nice too.

Good to hear, a good storm spirit is pretty daisies scary with the amount of escape and initiation it gives you. Better get good at beating people mid though.

Also, I decided to stream Meepo last night as a joke and somehow didn't suck and actually destroyed people. Kunkka is becoming one of my favorite heroes though just because he can have early game impact with low risk (the range on torrent is ridiculous, and X marks the spot makes punishing out of position heroes stupid easy) while being able to have a niche in the late game.

Just played Techies for the first time in single draft. Ah, Techies. I wasn't the best but we once got a triple kill by baiting a Juggernaut into a Remote mine trap then suiciding and Zeus Ult. And it takes a while for people to learn not to chase you, so you get the few easier kills in the beginning where they think Techies running up a cliff is a safe way to go.
