Ditto for me.

I only wanted a 3DS for Kid Icarus.

Originally, Kid Icarus was supposed to come out relatively close to the 3DS launch date, but it ended up being pushed back nearly a year.

I'd have bought the 3DS on day 1 if the game I wanted was there.

I love how many games that were intended to be launch window games that still aren't out yet

Good news, everyone: The WiiU has some worthwhile (e.g. Pikmin, SSB4) games coming out

NEXT YEAR

I tried out the Wii U Game Pad for the first time in a New Super Mario Bros. U demo at Wal-Mart. There were two things I got out of it:

1. The Game Pad is big and uncomfortable. Not the most intuitive controller ever.

2. I didn't realize it has not only L and R buttons, but ZL and ZR triggers as well.

I mean, the buttons weren't a chore to reach or anything but the Game Pad felt unwieldy to hold in my opinion.

Did you hold one that was like in a little holder thing, like a regular controller, that kinda locks it in place?

Because if so, duh, of course it did. They all do like that.

It's really very much not an awkward controller at all.

It wasn't because of the holder, that's for sure. I took it off and moved it around. The area I really noticed it was uncomfortable was right on my palms.

It was just at a regular ol' Wal-Mart in Washington State. It still had the little cord attached to the back so you can't run out of the store with it, but you could take it off the stand.

Yeah they're pretty common bud

Also if he didn't find the controller comfortable then he didn't find it comfortable. Everyone's different with that kinda stuff. I was the only one of my friends who didn't like the original Xbox controller and I always preferred the PS2 controller to the Gamecube one, which is apparently pretty uncommon.

The game pad needs cushions on it.
