So I got my dates mucked up for the Splatfest. Since in Europe it's on the 18th at 7:00 PM I plugged that into a timezone converter and got 3:00 AM, I assumed it'd start at 3:00 on Saturday. Turns out I'm an idiot and that's not how timezones work. Oops. It's actually Sunday for me.

Oh well. Glorious Team Sleep will still prevail!

My day is packed. I'll have to stay up until 11:00 just so I can get to Max Waterslider rank...
I wonder what it's like to have a real life?

Octobrush and the N-Zap '89 confirmed for release tomorrow, just in time for splatfest.

I am super hyped for the Octobrush.

I don't think anyone should try using a new weapon they don't have experience with for Splatfest, but new weapons are always welcome.

But if you use a new weapon you can catch the opponents offguard.

In fact, I want everyone on Team Rollercoaster to use that strategy for victory.

This is what I did for the first Splatfest a la Inkbrush.

The inkbrush is probably still better in Turf War anyway. Sprinklers, Inkstrikes and that ridiculous speed are such a delicious combination. The inkbrush isn't brilliant at fights, but half the time you can just run away and survive pretty easily.

I like to use it to stall Chargers. I always die in the end, but it's pretty fun while it lasts.

I hate hype trains when they derail into a relatively subpar experience.

Maybe you misunderstood
it ain't about killing
it's about painting your room as quick as possible
the best splatoon players in the world, I'll hire them when I need to renovate

I know, and none of my teams were able to do that, I like the idea of it, but like many FPS/TPS, it's gonna get repetitive. I just like to take kills occasionally so I at least know I'm keeping up and being efficient, Splatfest is not kiddy safe.

Currently doing a rotation system with my younger brother to make sure we get roughly even time in the Splatfest. I struggled to catch up for a while because of a lot of matchmaking issues (and then some really garbage teammates). Currently my brother's a Charismatic Eating Boy and I'm 10-ish points off getting Charismatic Sleeping Boy.

Also Octobrush is legit. I'm doing scary good at it - the stage selection at the moment has a fair few choke points, meaning the better attack power and Kraken are seriously handy. At one point I got over 1000 points in a match... that our team lost.

The heathens won by 4 points.

This was actually the first Splatfest where the popular team lost. I'm surprised that Water Slides were popular though.
