But in all seriousness, at first I really, really didn't like Byakuren. I don't know, she just rubbed me the wrong way. But then I started to actually read into her character and I was like "God daisies, this is like one of the most noble characters in Touhou." Too bad her followers don't really seem to follow her teachings.

I've never actually played Touhou myself, but I had a friend who practically collected these games and others like them. It seems like a cool game but I honestly don't think I'd be good at it.

I like the music though. Is it any wonder I recognize all three songs in the OP? The first one I think I heard in a Super Mario World ROMhack once, and I'm not sure where I recognize the third one. The second one is pretty much a meme, so yeah. However, every Touhou song I've heard I've really liked; they're just so daisies catchy!

At any rate I -might- start playing but I can't guarantee anything because I've already got too many games I want to "get into" but haven't.

Flying magical girls shoot lots of pretty bullet patterns and have fun conversations: the game. Most of them are bullet hell shooters, which means the screen gets flooded with hundreds or thousands of bullets, everything is always trying to kill you, and even the bullets shoot bullets. ^_^ Some of the games are photography or fighting games instead. There are also mangas and fanbooks, and lots and lots and lots of fanmade stuff (like one-third of Comiket, lots).

I play this series a lot. I enjoy its wackiness, absurd difficulty, and splendiferous soundtrack. Who else likes it? :)
