Saw vids that people were able to change the music of GBA pokemon ROMs-

Theirs also the matter of ROM Hacking itself, you can NOT talk about the ROM hacking process, just the hacks as a game.
And I forgot about this rule and was going to ask about music changer programs...
OH WELL.

I guess I won't listen to this for gym battles and this for champion battles, or maybe I'll just... browse the net... and hope that I don't get hacked.

Sonic Megamix is one of the best Sonic romhacks I have played ever.

I mean oh my god look at the light speed dash. It's so bad.

Yeah, the Sonic ROMhackers are a talented bunch. Hell, they were able to do something that even the developers themselves thought was impossible (adding Knuckles in Sonic 1).
My favourite hack is probably the Sonic 2 one where they added Sonic 4 physics, it was hilarious.
And that version of Sonic 1 with achivements and internet capabilities.

I actually used to know the guys who made Megamix.

It makes the whole thing seem somewhat less... good, when you know half the people involved were kinda dicks.

Does anyone know if a translated version of the first 3 Shin Megami Tensei games exist?

SMT 3 is the PS2 game, and it was brought over, and is legally available, in english and everything. It's called SMT Nocturne.
The patches for 1 and 2 have some bugs in them last I heard, but just require playing through certain parts untranslated. I think it was jsut 1 though.
I have no idea about the NES megaten games if you're interested in those.

I think he's talking about If..., that sort-of spinoff game that took place in school.

Anyway, in other news, one of the most ambitious proletariats ever got a special update today.

So this guy has a whole bunch of SMW ROM hack songs collected on his channel.

You should check it out, some of these are really amazing.

Oh, awesome! I didn't knew SMT3 got a localization, I checked it out and it even got released in Europe, thanks for the notice!
I'm thinking more of the PSX version of SMT 1 and 2, unfortunately they aren't released on the European Virtual Console for the Wii.

I'm looking for some Pokemon romhacks which I want to play a little bit with sceb for a new episode, and I was wondering if you guys know any.
I know there's Snakewood, Touhoumon and some other hack where the sprites are little girls (???); but that's not particularly enough.

They don't have to be good, personally I'm actually leaning more towards the bad ones, because daisies if I don't love me some bad stuff (and they are easier to make fun of aswell).

It's not really bad, or a rom hack, but check out Pokemon Zeta/Omicron. I don't think it's complete, but what I played of it, it seemed pretty cool.

I have a rules question.
If a person is working on a 'modification', are they allowed to discuss progress, features, etc.?
Implying that none of that goes into detail of the process and that nothing is distributed.
