PLUG-IN UPDATE!
We have pretty much finished adjusting Towny, and have made changes to LWC.
First, LWC:
We have reworked the LWC lock system. Each player is initially allowed two free locks. These locks can be applied to chests or doors. To obtain more locks, you must purchase them for 10 gold nuggest each. Gold nuggets are obtained from gold ingots. One gold ingot gives you nine nuggets. Changing your ingots into nuggets is reversible, so don't worry.
Older players that had already used their previous five free locks do not have to worry about losing them - however, you will not be allowed the two free locks and must purchase locks from this point on like everyone else. Also, if you had only used some of the five free locks (2/3/4) you will still henceforth have to purchase locks. You will not be allowed to use the rest of the five locks. Those that only locked one chest should still have one free lock available to them.
As a side-note, redstone powder can be used in place of gold nuggets! 100 redstone is equal to one gold nugget.
Second, Towny:
Towny has been on the server for a while, but we have made some economic adjustments recently! We have not really had anyone go in-depth about it either, so here is some information about it.
Towny is a bit self-explanatory - with the plug-in you and your friends are able to establish a town. Establishing a town/residence allows you several benefits, which include:
- The ability to set up a home/spawn point inside the town - Mob protection - Grief protection - PvP protection - Possibly teleportation between towns (has not been implemented at this moment)
A single person can establish a town, but the idea is to have more than one person to create a community. Creating a town costs 100 gold nuggets, and then costs 3 nuggets per day afterwards.
The one who creates the town is automatically elected Mayor, but this can be passed to anyone. The Mayor can elect Assistants. The Mayor and Assistants are the only ones who can modify protections.
When creating a town, you have 15 chunks (16x16 squares along the x/z axis, reaching from ground to ceiling on the y axis) of space PER resident to work with. You do not have to claim every single chunk. When you establish a town, a "town account" is also created. This is where your gold nuggets for up-keeping the town will be taken from, not your personal inventories! Anyone can deposit gold nuggets or redstone powder into the town bank, but only the Mayor and Assistants are able to withdraw from it.
Regarding mobs, your farm animals will not be deleted if you choose to turn on mob protection. You will simply not have any more passive or aggressive mobs spawning within your residency. Animals CAN still breed, and you CAN bring in animals from the outside into your residence - aggressive mobs will just disappear if they hit the border.
If you have any questions, feel free to pose them here. You can also find more information about the plug-in by typing < /Towny > into the chat menu in Minecraft.
