But yeah I was like "wait, but Medusa never revealed how she came back, or why she couldn't remember things", and I was thinking "is this going to be like Tabuu where it's all in the backstory for the game?"

NOPE.

Goddamn I want to keep playing. D:

Also, like how they pulled Hades in. It always seemed strange that Medusa was the Goddess when we have Poseidon and Pallus Athena (Palutena) in the cast.

Oh you guys.

Wolf Claws are where it's at.

W+M1 is actually useful this time around.

You don't have a Babel Club, do you? If you did, you'd be crying at how low your forward charge dash shot is. Also you'd be crying at how you've been missing out on firing tornadoes at people. And that's not even the best club.

clubs sort of completely suck outside multiplayer, mostly due to you know the whole game being built around being able to shoot

so

EDIT: i just realized all the info we've seen on the game is until chapter 9

i'm on chapter 23

this game is proving to be much longer than I originally expected and it's great

EDIT 2: oh it's only 25 chapters

dang i was hoping for 30

owall

super fun-booty shit seriously my god ALL THE TWISTS

my dad got a 3DS for my little brother (cause he's a spoiled brat) and out of the current options that exist for the 3DS, mario 3D land and Uprising are the only ones that seem really worthwhile, SO:

how challenging is this game? and does it have difficulty settings?

If Uprising's too hard for an 8 year old kid (albeit a kid who's been gaming since age 3) to enjoy we're going to be getting Mario 3D land. I personally am hoping to hear Uprising has difficulty settings cause I'm a lot more interested in it and am hoping for a challenge.

It has a difficulty setting alright.

It's called Fiend's Cauldron. You bet hearts (the in-game cheddar) to raise the difficulty if you want, but it's entirely optional. You could even pay to be invincible if you wanted to, too.

This game = ALL OF MY LOVE.

It is extremely fun and the dialogue is great (one of the first games that's made me laugh out loud in a good while). The land controls are awkward at first (camera) but become automatic more or less immediately. Most of the reviews that say anything negative bash the land controls, but I think sticking with it makes it just fine in the end.

To the guy complaining about the lameness of bows: the Meteor Bow is pretty rad; I scored a decent one early on and used it to clear like six chapters before finally upgrading. But I think I am further behind the rest of you guys so maybe there are better options later.

Also, this game is Brawl: the menu design, the trophies/idols, the ungodly amount of achievements. Seriously, I was like, "Great! I'm almost halfway!" and then Viridi unlocks 120 MORE. And there are probably more gods after this, if Poseidon was any clue.

tldr; this game is BOSS.

Another set of achievements unlocks after you beat the game, yeah.

Also I GOT a Meteor Bow but only at a low level. Like, I think only half a star in ranged and that was it. It was horribly shitty and compared to my Artillery Claws, it wasn't worth it in the slightest.

That's the real problem. I don't doubt bows AREN'T shitty, but my god for the life of me I can't find one that isn't.

I've been trying out different weapons, but my Midnight Palms with +4 poison still are the best. Use a charged strike to take down a big foe, uses a barrage to poison the rest, and then dodge/charge shots to clean up everything else.
