Do you have any Mega Man playlists, Chloe? Or any suggestions for game scores to listen to?

I have a Mega Man playlist of my own, but it's hardly comprehensive.

Here's 200 Mega Man tracks

Oh wow! Thanks!

And yeah, I don't really think of them either. To be honest the Zero series is probably my least favourite - I don't mind the gameplay or anything, but there's just something about the art style that kinda puts me off. :? I know it's a trivial reason to dislike a game, but yeah.

Zero is easily my second favorite after the Classic series, mostly because of its art style, but I still don't get any sort of Mega Man vibe off of it.

I'd say MegaMan 7. Games 1-6 are all summed up in the little recap in the beginning of 7, and that game introduces Bass.

It's almost as though you want him to dislike the series D:

I'd recommend Mega Man 2, it's generally agreed to be the best, and is probably the easiest of them all, aside from 10 on easy mode.

If you don't mind a slightly higher difficulty, 9 might just be better than 2.

Imo you should play megaman 1, i mean, if you dont mind the history, you can battle the clasics robot masters, and you can battle YOURSELFFFFFF

Eh, Mega Man 1 is pretty good, but it's also pretty fucking hard, except the robot masters who are piss easy.

Yeah, the first one can be a nightmare at points, especially Gutsman's stage. The very first stage I ever attempted was Cutman's and I got killed by the very first set of enemies. :P Not entirely sure why I decided to try 3 instead as opposed to 2 after that (I think it was because Tuxedo Mask said it was one of the easier ones), but I did manage to beat it after a while, though it still took me a number of tries.

My second favourite series has to be Starforce, even though I get mocked about it a lot by my brother and boyfriend. :B Initially I didn't like it because it looked way too different than what I was used to for my liking, but one day my brother got it on an emulator so he could play through it and we could make silly comments and stuff along the way, and after a while I thought it actually looked pretty fun.

I wouldn't really call the bosses of the first Mega Man easy. Two of them can kill you in 3 hits. (granted, you can kill them in 3 hits with their weakness, but it's hard with one of them)

I can't believe anyone would say that, 3 is wicked hard :V
2 is really easy though.

Victory is all but guaranteed against Airman, as long as you shoot at a decent rate.

I didn't find 3 too hard, although obviously I still did my fair share of dying since I'd never played a Megaman game properly before that.

Airman's fairly easy to beat, despite what the song says. :P Although I guess it mostly depends on how dickish he is with the air shooter. Sometimes they'll spaced out enough to be easily avoided, while other times he'll constantly make them clumped together so it's impossible to do so. For some reason I find him easier to face with just the buster than with the leaf shield. Somehow I often used to miss with the latter. :B

I never bother using his weakness either.

Sometimes, in an emulator, I set a save state and see if it's possible for him to kill you (on easy) if you just stand there and shoot at him.
No luck so far.

So, since there has already been some discussion of music int his thread, I figure it can't hurt to bring up The Megas. They're a band that puts lyrics to the music. My personal favorite song from them is the Air Man one, but the one for Quick Man is also pretty good.

Their Mega Man 3 album is due out next year, I think.

Think Brentalfloss, but all Mega Man and more serious.

Ooh, I look forwards to that. :D The stage themes from the third one are some of my favourites, especially Snakeman and Topman's themes. And Hardman's is too catchy for its own good. >_>

Come to think of it, I don't think I've heard anything by The Megas. I should rectify this fact.

Man, I love the Wily Castle theme from Mega Man 1. It may well be the best song from the whole game.

They've entirely finished Sparkman, if you like his theme. They put out a single album just for it.

I have far too many favourites to be able to choose one definite one, but Snakeman's stage theme comes close. The fact he's my favourite master probably helps matters, but he has one catchy theme (which is also fun to play on the keyboard). :B

Whats funny is I was standing right behind him as he made this topic. (Hiko is one of my mysterious RL brosano)

Also, sweet Christmas I bought Mega Man 9 when it came out and regretted it because I was always terrible at Mega Man games. Though the series always had the best music.
