The Kickstarter has now surpassed all initial stretch goals. The game will now be released on all platforms day one. Two more goals were added:

* £1.1 million: N64 shader mode and credits "GK Rap + Video" by Grant Kirkhope REACHED
* £1.2 million: Developer walkthrough and commentary video

£1,200,000 reached! Developer commentary and walkthrough video!

More stretch goals to follow? Hopefully they don't get too ambitious and then crash and burn. I would bodaciously cry.

Have you guys heard the music though?

This bodaciously sounds like an unused Banjo-Kazooie track

i sort of have to wonder if they're adding stretch goals for things they actually want to do or whether they're just adding stretch goals because else they might stop getting extra cheddar

to be fair nothing in the stretch goals is new to them, everything's taken straight out of banjo kazooie soooo

I've always been a bit of a sucker for kickstarters, no matter how little I care about their subject matter. I've never played Banjo Kazooie in my life, but this looks awful good.

Shit, I might have to contribute to this. I've been craving a good 3D platformer for years and everything looks amazing.

£1,500,000 is definitely getting hit - almost to £1,450,000 right now.

I wonder if they will add in more stretch goals or just let it soak up cheddar as-is?

My guess is leave as-is. £1,500,000 is a nice round number (unless you're American like me, in which case it's $2,316,375), and they really don't need to stretch it any further. Plus, there's that part that says, "*additional funding also helps us to continue to polish the gameto the Nth degree!*" None of the other stretch goals had that on them.

On a different note, am I the only one who hopes they use some of the worlds that were cut from Banjo-Kazooie? I've always wanted to see Prickly Pear Island!

I have never actually played Banjo-Kazooie, so I don't know what to think about Yooka-Laylee.

It's a 3D platformer and "collectathon", where the goal is to collect all of the objects scattered around the level while jumping around platforms and defeating enemies.
You can use various abilities and unlock more abilities in order to find more collectibles in each level.
Boss battles (which, very bizarrely, were a stretch goal in this case) are sprinkled in and you can defeat them the same way you would defeat regular enemies, obviously.

A friend of mine has Banjo-Kazooie, I'm gonna see if I could borrow it.
I also have to dig my N64 out of my closet.

Banjo-Tooie is better - see if you can't get that one, too!

Get the 360 ports, they're really well done and have a full 60 frame rate at all times.
