Dude crystal animations were fucking beast. I always loved seeing a different pokemon and going: "Oh man I wonder what it's gonna do." Magneton was the best because all of its nails spazzed out and he was like "BZZzzRRRzzzTtttZZ."

Yeah Crystal was awesome. My team consisted of Typhlosion, Politoed, and Magneton. They wiped the floor with all opposition.

And now I got my Emerald back and have decided to start with Torchic. Gonna throw a Cacnea in there whence I can.

I won in Crystal with just a Typhlosion and an Umbreon :awesome:
Umbreon knew Iron Tail, Shadow Ball, Psychic, and Screech.
Typhlosion knew Strength, Dynamicpunch, Flame Wheel, and... some other move that I never used loliduno.

None of my pokemon fainted until I reached Lance. And I have yet to lose. Ever. Sixteen badges baby.

I usually focus on training 12 Pokemon seriously on each play through (the others being caught to satisfy requirements for 'Itemfinder'/whatever).

I rarely train the same Pokemon on each play through - I'm working on an Absol and a Mawile at the moment, I should train a Relicanth too really.

I miss being able to get sixteen badges.

I always just liked designs for the pokemon, y'know? The games are kinda... meh. Mystery Dungeon is pretty good though. The toon is also kinda fun to put on occasionally, nostalgia and what not.

Pokemon will probably never leave my system, it's implanted into my childhood.

I still think Hey You Pikachu was really fun, but any discussion about that game leads to bitching about how pikachu wouldn't listen to their mic spam.

Ya, pokemon snap was crap, except the few occasions where you could knock pokemon off cliffs or into lava with pester balls.

And he also thought wobbuffet wasn't a good pokemon because of his stats...

Also, does anyone remember that one girl in Mt. moon in the first generation that said, "don't try anything funny in the dark"? Just what the hell was that?
