PAGE MULE!

Needs better troll skills. That joke's overdone. :colbert:

Also, what's even sadder about PMD2 is that
Once you really beat the game storyline-wise, the characters are frozen in a certain state of mind, even when tens of weeks (in the game) pass. Your partner also won't say anything special anymore. It's depressing like repeating the same day over and over in Majora's Mask, only worse.
In CoD4...
When somebody set us up the bomb and your character dies because of it.
I've beat the game, so I know that part aswell. I didn't cry at that part, mostly because I was expecting it.

Pokemon Mystery dungeon's ending was sad for me too. I was sorta surprised at myself for crying.

Ooo, I've teared up at several games, actually.

FFVII, Twlight Princess, Majora's Mask (Specifically, the last three hours of Day 3 while in town and Romani Ranch), Metal Gear Solid 1, 2, and 3, and many more.

Although I shouldn't, I tend to tear up out of excitement during lots of final boss fights without even realizing it.

When it comes to games and tears, three things usually push me over the edge:

-Finishing something long, arduous and incredibly satisfying (final boss, long game ending sequence)
-A profound message, action of greater good, self sacrifice (think of any plot cliche, then attach your favourite game characters)

But the most important part of all?

-Music. Heart-wrenching, tear-jerking. The best kind.

So, what are those moments that left me relieved to be past the final obstacle, watching some tragic (or sweet) plot event play out, all to an amazing musical score? Well don't laugh.

Yoshi's Island
The end of Yoshi's Island. When Mario and Luigi are being taken back home via stork, as a gentler version of the theme plays and the credits roll. After what felt like such a long game, it was a great way to end it.
FF 9
Final Fantasy 9. The whole friggin' game. But if I had to be specific, the ending. Not so much that I couldn't predict what would happen, but the execution of it, plus "Melodies of Life" played to the credits, still puts water in my eyes.
FF X
The romance scene of FFX. This one is more anecdotal. The first time I was about to watch the FMV play, my game froze up before-hand, much to the fury of myself and my best friend. Had to get the disk repaired and play up to the clip a third or fourth time before I could finally watch them get jiggy. I didn't really cry, but I sure was friggin' glad to not watch the characters frozen on the spot, waiting for an FMV that wasn't coming.
Wind Waker
Wind Waker Ending. Easy. I know some folk say that Hyrule's King was actually a bastard for what he did, but I don't agree. As the two kids plead for the King to come with them, he refuses, drowning himself and the kingdom he loves. Between the regal "Temple II" theme and Link stretching out for the king's hand... guh, I was still on a high from stabbing old Ganondorf in the head. Adamantium was crying like waterfalls after that. I mean, I could even empathise with Ganondorf that time!
Majora's Mask
Twice, actually. Once after reuiniting the lovers and getting the couple's mask. It was hard enough figuring the whole mini-quest out, but then successfully executing it at the right times over the three days, finishing that puzzle room with 6 hours left, then bringing the lovers together, as the ground shakes and doom is upon them. You get some shitty silver mask and the harsh realisation that in a few minutes all this will be undone and you'll be back to the dawn of the first day.
The second time would of course be "Dawn of a New Day". If you've played it, I need not explain the sense of satisfaction that came with it. Dare I say, the best Zelda Game ever???
I'm certain there are more, but these ones really stood out. FF 7 isn't on the list and never will be.
I never really liked Aerith. Tifa was hotter and sweeter. I felt sorry for Tifa.
If you haven't actually played the titles mentioned above, I recommend them. Just don't bitch if you don't like them. I'm not bloody psychic.

Oh, hawhawhaw. Nothing like spilling my guts to complete strangers on the other side of the globe, who hopefully share my over-the-top interest in video games.

Calling the Giants in Majora's Mask always sends a chill down my spine, but I don't think I've ever teared up from a video game.

The stories in the library in Super Mario Galaxy were pretty heartwrenching.

You've been stabbed in the forehead with a sword by a young boy in an underwater kingdom?
