Wooo, double update time!
Oh yeah, and I checked what was up with that Lucario anyway. Turns out its four moves were Drain Punch and Force Palm, both of which are fighting and thus have no effect on ghost types, the third was Bone Rush, a ground type for some reason, and therefore does nothing thanks to Rotom's levitate (yes, a levitating lawnmower. Greatest invention ever), and Metal Claw, which does only half damage against electric types. Its not so much that the Lucario sucked, its that I just so happened to have the worst possible Pokemon to use against it!
Well, I found Dawn anyway. Just... standing there... not actually making an effort to get the Pokedex herself...
*sigh*
Whoops, nope! I've completely forgotten everything about them, sorry.
Oh yeah, I remember that. That was... outright pathetic, really. Seriously, you got schooled by an old man!
Oh, fine. Even if it is teaming up with a bloody grass-toise! Why did you pick that one again?
Unless they, y'know, attack. You're screwed in that case.
Y'know, I have to question: why do we separate from each other like that if we're fighting as a team?
Wait... you wanted to wait for my help... just to fight Zubats?! Ugh, just how weak are your Pokemon anyway?
Your... first Pokemon is a Clefairy?
Yeah, I can see why you need my help here.
See that enemy Croagunk? That's faster than Porygon, and thanks to type advantage, could probably kill it in one go.
See that ring effect there? That means my Quick Claw item just kicked in, allowing me to go first.
Hear that sound? That's the sound of the opponent getting what should've been a sure victory snatched away from him.
Ah, music to my ears!
That... is music in the more literal sense. Way to try one-up me, Dawn!
Ah yes, metronome! Always great at coming up with an awe-inspiring killer move! Such as...
Whirlwind?! Goddam Clefairy, you were supposed to KILL it, not switch it out for a more powerful Pokemon at full health!
You are a liability to this team.
I always wonder
how Pokemon recover anyway. There's probably a whole bunch of mumbo-jumbo to it.
REVERSE THE POLARITY OF YOUR POLYGONS, EPILEPSIE!
Oh hey, y'know what attack I haven't used yet?
SEEEEEIZUUUURES!!
Oh yeah, I forgot about this guy. How did he manage to survive utter destruction again?
Ah well. He didn't last long.
Slow... ... ... ... ... ... ...poke.
That, umm, might be over-stretching your team's ambition. I mean, aside from that there's far too many Pokemon in the world to make them all yours, you can't catch anything more impressive than a Purugly anyway!
.......yeah. Overshooting. Just a tad.
...
Well, they didn't actually say what the things were. Constantly learning, they are!
Duhhh, I dunno. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that THEY FUCKING OWN THE PLACE! THEY'RE THE FREAKING MAFIA!
Same thing we do every day, Dawny. Try and take over the world!
But seriously, I guess I might as well make my way to the next gym and advance the plot.
OH FOR FFFFF-
This is because I said the word "plot", isn't it?!
Why? Is the warehouse owned by Schrodinger or something?
Umm... what?
You're not serious! There's actually a major building in this game that I CAN'T simply waltz through? Goddam!
Ah, but at least they had the common decency to leave their valuables outside of the door! How kind of them!
I... found it? I thought Looker found it and I just picked it up off the ground.
Ah, whatever.
Right, yes, I get it! Make my way to Pastoria City! You can stop trying to rail-line me in now!
At this point, my Staravia is REALLY useless for battling with! Oh, how times have changed...
Wha...
Oh yeah, forgot. For some really bizarre reason, you can only go to towns that you've already visited. So now to get from point A to point B, you actually need the gym badge, the HM, AND already know the neighbourhood!
So lets go to the closest place I can:
Ah, I remember this place. It had all the great places, such as the gym to get the defog badge! And the Pokemon Contests! And the CutePokemonPark (which I didn't go to, no guesses why)! And the Eevee!
Err...
Why did I have to go here in the first place again?
Anyway, TO SOUTHWARDS!
SON OF A BITCH!
BACK TO VEILSTONE!
That trip was entirely redundant...
Oh yes, Lake Valor. I heard about that place. Apparently, its definitely worth the visit!
I wonder where Route 214 is...
Oh wow, that was quick! And that must be the lake! It's not as good as I thought it would be though...
AAAH, CRAP! ITS A TREE! I've seen Lord Of The Rings, I know what they're capable of!
A level 23 Pokemon? Man, you are weak! Send in a proper Pokemon already!
Say, y'know, weak Pokemon are fine. Switch back to the weak Pokemon, switch back to the weak ones!
Oh right, yeah, I still have the powerhouse of a lawnmower with me!
Oh hey, its the balloon Pokemon! I haven't seen you in a good while!
Although there's a good reason for that. YOU'RE EFFING WEAK!
Of course not! I mean, I've braved Cheryl for crying out loud!
Hey, it wasn't all cupcakes and sunshine with you, y'know! Your face alone creeps me out!
GEEZUS FUCK, STOP DOING THAT!
Oh hay, three paths! If this is anything like regular RPGs, the first will be filled with mountaineers with rock Pokemon, the second with regular trainers, and the third with loads of wild Pokemon. So... which route do I take, eh?
