Another little update.

C418, the sound guy for Minecraft, has been working on some new SFX for, well, a lot of things. Spiders and Chickens have their own footstep sounds, spider ones sound really weird and scary I guess, and there are new sounds for stepping/breaking blocks.

Got some more news for 1.8. So far, a lot of sounds in Minecraft have been changed, these being: - Less annoying rain.
- New water splashing sound.
- New swimming sounds.
- Moving minecart sound.
- New, "more horrifying", skeleton sound.
- Skeleton walking sounds.
- Unique sound for big slimes.
- Spider walking sound.
- Zombie walking sound.
- Chicken walking sound.
- Cow walking sounds.
- Wolf walking sound.
- Sheep walking sound.
- Pig walking sound.
- Shearing sheep sound.
- New grass walk sound.
- New gravel walk sound.
- New sand walk sound.
- New stone walk sound.
- Ladder climbing sound.

ANOTHER new thing that has been released by Notch, is chargeable bows, thus allowing you to, I guess strengthen your arrows when you launch them.

Just did pretty well after getting my booty kicked before the first night a few times. I had built a crappy first night house and then it rained just as the sun was supposed to rise, so I got hit with skeles and zombies when I got tired of waiting. This time though, I built a really stylin' house out of wood and found two clay deposits which I made into bricks and I got coal behind the first cobble block I broke through.

Cobble is the broken stone you get after mining smooth stone. Found naturally where flowing lava and water collide, and in dungeons.

I am guessing you meant smooth stone? The gray stuff.

Oh my goodness I am just now discovering the wonders of the Painterly Pack.

WHO KNEW I WOULD BE SO ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT BEEKEEPING. All I need left is a farming mod and I'm all set.

Oh and by the way, does anyone know how to correctly install proletariats? I've never done it before. All I did was make a pack and put it in the texture pack folder. Does this make every mod I included in it work, or should I put them somewhere else? And will they affect worlds I already made? I'm dying to go fossil hunting and I was wondering if I could use a pre-existing world of mine to do so.
