Okay now that bit about Super Mario 64 HAS to be nostalgia talking, because the camera in that game was so bad it was not even funny.
It was still great (especially considering the leap from 2D to 3D), but Galaxy is pretty much the perfect 3D Mario title.

If you have a DS, get Super Mario 64 DS. It's a remake that makes a great game even better.

I was considering it, but then I realized that the DS version would have no control stick, and navigating a 3D environment with a D-pad more like NO THANK YOU

I've heard that it controls a lot better if you're using the 3DS circle pad, if you can handle the blurry/letterboxed graphics.

Letterboxed? You mean the black lines on the side whenever I play a DS game?

How is that even an issue for anyone I mean wow.

Well I meant the letterboxing you can enable to keep the game at original resolution by holding start or select as the game boots. I completely forgot about the default letterboxing.

I thought the 3DS just did that automatically.
At least, I've never pressed anything.

The 3DS auto-formats everything to fit the screen. This is what causes the blur effect on DS games.
Pressing start or select as it boots removes that, keeping the original resolution.

I am SO EXCITED for Luigi's Manion Dark Moon, you would not even believe.

Also
pretty sure the new red ghosts are all related to fiesta Ace Dick.

Yarn Yoshi (a sequel of sorts to Epic Yarn), Mario Kart Wii U, and the next 3D Mario game were announced today, though details on the latter two were non-existent (they'll be showcased and playable at E3 though).

I'd rather have another Yoshi's island but ok...

I'm also playing NSMB2 a bit more, the games unoriginal, but hell, i love this level design much better than other Mario games.

I want some fun games for my 3DS and I already finished Zelda Time: Hey Ganondorf! Why'd you steal our Princess
I was thinking about either sticker star, or the 3D super mario game.

Mario 3D Land is really good, it has some neat levels in it that REALLY push exploration in a Mario game. Especially a certain desert level.

I've got both Sticker Star and Mario 3D Land, and out of the two, I prefer the latter. Sticker Star was okay but I had to make myself finish it instead of wanting to. The main problem I had with the game was that it doesn't give you prior information as to when you're going to need a thing sticker and which thing sticker is required, and as a result you're going to be back tracking a lot. This includes being unable to continue and being at a big disadvantage against a boss (the final boss is extremley annoying in this aspect). The game took me about 20 hours to finish, with very little to do post game other than filling a gallery with all the possible stickers (which you can do during the story). The only thing that unlocked when I finished the game was an option to watch the credits.

If you're going to buy one of the two games, I'd go with Mario 3D Land.
