But I liked the ship-sailing in 3. It was ridiculously simplified and unrealistic, but it was fun.

In fact, it was more fun than doing the usual running around assassinating bits.

Yeah it's real. And when you've got two worldwide conspiracy cults constantly fighting each other throughout history, there's not a whole lot of settings that won't make sense.
