Parrying works well, but the game doesn't explain it well, at all. I seriously think that if they'd changed just ONE of the game's lines, the game would have gotten higher review scores and we'd have a lot less frustrated players. Specifcally, the Doktor's description of parrying is wrong. You don't just have to execute a light attack in the direction of the enemy; you have to actively jolt the stick in the enemy's direction and press x simultaneously. If you're already pressing the control stick, it won't work.

I don't know why you're complaining about the stealth though. You're never required to use it, and it's actually detrimental to your ranking. It's there as an option, and not much else. I also never actually encountered any times where I actually had to do any precision platforming. The ninja run moves over almost everything automatically.

Sub weapons usually aren't worth bothering with, I agree, but some of them have teir uses. Namely, they can be good for killing hard to reach enemies, and they make rescuing civilians way easier.

Yeah I got parrying perfectly fine by playing the tutorial, but yeah the explanation really doesn't match the reality

a friend of mine tried explaining the parrying as "you have to hold the stick and use a light attack at the same time"

the second i figured out he didn't mean "hold the stick and THEN light attack while holding" and he meant "press them both at the same time", i immediately and totally understood how to parry and then yelled at him

Blade Wolf and Mistral were easier than some regular enemy groups on Very Hard.

And yes, parrying becomes easy once you realize how it actually works. Dodging is another important skill since you need it against attacks where the enemy glows yellow.

Holy crap. I fully upgraded Fox's Blade and it's ridiculously overpowered. I'm oneshotting everything with armor, including hammer dudes, gorillas and mechs. I might have to switch back to a weaker blade, because this is no fun.

Oh well, there goes 400k BP down the drain.

I spent a total of 2 hours trying to beat Sam on very hard without taking damage, hoping it would get me an S rank. I finally did it but only got an A rank because I didn't gather paste for BP. Knowing that I did 'perfectly' is enough for me though.

You need to run around and collect extra nanopastes from the boxes to get enough BP for that fight. It's sorta stupid.

Aside from the BP nonsense, that's a very good run.

Those fast 180 kicks of his were the bane of me because I very rarely managed to parry them so you can see me doing it a bit safe during his swordless phase to avoid just that.

If you're really willing to put yourself through the wringer again, you can use the dodge move to sidestep the kicks he tosses out. The tells are really subtle, and having the sun in your eyes isn't going to make it easier but you can theoretically maintain your combo provided that he doesn't backflip away like an asshole or start spamming his rush punch soon after.

XBone achievements leaked on GZ. Looks like there's gunna be 2 (or maybe just 1 IDK it's hard) main mission, 6-side ops, and an extra mission. at least that's what there are achievements for, the missions might be long and there could be main missions without cheevos. There's also collectables and shit There's a thread on GAF with the screen shots in the OP for anybody that cares.

Ok, so far I'm at the Sundowner Boss fight, was about to beat him but my game froze on the last segmentWhere you fly one of those bird-things up the tower, but I don't mind because holy fuck THAT WAS A BOSS FIGHT. The only part I don't like is the helicopter because it just bothers the hell out of my concentration when fighting Sunny.

I've gotten used to Parrying, and my opinion might change for this game.

So there's a pretty crazy theory out there.
People are saying that Chico is Quiet.
Naturally, there's also undeniable proof.
