Gold isn't really meant to be used as a tool, man. Despite what some video games say it's not a very good metal for swords and picks and etc.

Gold is as good as wood (or maybe stone, not 100% sure). It's more of a decorative block than anything else.

I made another world because I lost my epic base in my original world (I can't find it, and I swear it wasn't that far away but i can't find it anywhere)

Burninate the surrounding lands into a wretched, barren hellscape until you find the base you so desire.

Anyway, I just realized how cool it would be to make an island in the sky out of wool. Like really high up. Whenever the Octoberween update comes out I'm totally going to build heaven above a portal to hell.

wow, that's a pretty nice idea. I never thought of (m)any uses of wool. You could even make it just like one level below the clouds so that the clouds would go through you (or if that would make visibility low, one above).

I just realized that the torches will be going out this Halloween as infinite light in place of lamps. I think I might just wall off that whole mining section before anything has the urge to spawn down there.

I got two records while fighting skeletons and creepers. Awesome.

At first they seem like they are just 1 block big, but look at the one in the top left that's stuck behind some blocks, these things are at least 3x3.

I play on peaceful mode, and I swear to God if Notch makes monsters spawn on that difficulty I will be so rustled.

If he does, I reckon it will only be in Hell, and that seems fair enough, since it's supposed to be dangerous down there (And how can it be dangerous without monsters?).
