Aside from each area having multiple paths to completion, III feels the most straightforward on where to go. A bit disappointingly so.

It may as well have a flashing neon sign that says "GO THIS WAY" on every visible path.

Eh, I still managed to do most things in the completely wrong order, thereby fucking over all npc questlines.

Oh geez.
I felt absolutely devastated when I found Greirat lying in the water surrounded by those centipede ladies.

I felt bad about that because I expected it to happen on the third run, not the second.
That's not why I cried though, I cried when i gave him loretta's bone again in my second playthrough, the way he curls up and stuff just got me so much more the second time for some reason.

So, someone hacked Poise on and used it to fish for backstabs in PvP.

So overpowered.

Finally found a Titanite Slab, wondering what weapon I should go with. I'm doing a pure STR build and I'm doubting between the Large Club (which I've been using for most of the game), Yhorm's Great Machete, Smough's Hammer and Fume Ultra Greatsword.

The Great Machete and FUGS are both fantastic, but the Great Machete is faster. Don't fuck with Smough's it's not worth the requirements to hold it.

Well, I can already meet the requirements with base 40 STR and Knight's Ring actually. Main reason for wanting Smough is just because it looks awesome. I've been trying out Yhorm's and it's very good though.

So I decided that I'd fight a boss without using the win-button gimmick.

Also, can someone put me into cryostasis for just under two months so I don't have to wait for the DLC?

Ashes of Ariandel is sitting in my Steam inventory and it isn't playable for the next four days.

It is like they want me to go hollow or something.

DLC came out yesterday, it's about three hours long if you take it at an even pace and don't go for everything. about two hours of that is gonna be on the last bossfight because holy shit.

also the sword and shield paired weapon, valorheart, is ludicrously good. it has blocking frames on almost every attack, so you trade out having a proper shield for blocking even while you attack. it's also much, much faster than a standard straight sword, so it's DPS really solid.

all the weapons they introduced are pretty great, honestly, but valor stands out for me. fuckin' love it.

I actually kind'a powered through the bosses a lot faster than I had hoped, myself. However, they were insanely well designed. I need to run my level 30 through it to get an even better experience.

In other news, the arena looks really simple, but it seems surprisingly well designed for what Dark Souls is. It's not too cluttered as to make it impossible to maneuver for duels and the like, but it's not so open that you're always a sitting duck for spell-casters and greatbow snipers during multi-man battles. I'm looking forward to what new arena options they may add in the next DLC.

I witnessed a thing while invading in the DLC. Minor mob spoilers for those who haven't played it, yet.
