Amiibo Trackr is resolving host issues at the moment, so they can't update the Mario Series trackers to look for regular orders rather than preorders

I like to dream that the store exclusive thing was a temporary contract for the first production run, and when (;_;) they do more production runs I'll be able to grab Lucario and Rosalina from Walmart. It's a very unlikely dream.

Someone got a hold of a Nintendo rep and got some updates on the amiibo situation.

1. Confirmation of the West Coast port strike being a factor. Apparently there are shipments of amiibo still on the docks there. Most of Jan/Feb stock was affected.

2. They're going to reprint the older amiibos. They thought no one would care about some of the amiibo due to their series not being popular, but enough people have e-mailed that they have decided to do it. They mention Wii Fit Trainer but this would probably also apply to Villager, Captain Falcon, and Little Mac.

3. Wave 4 (Robin, Ness, Charizard, Lucina, Pac-Man, Wario) is not even going to open for preorder until the port strike is settled. They're also going to be looking at retail data from stores to gauge the demand better.

Small condolence to some, but all in all it seems like the situation is going to improve.
