There's no set point for them to appear first, you just have to have rustled off Caesar in the past. You can go back to Goodsprings and wait long enough, they'll show up.

Well that's annoying. Centurion was the only real issue though since he knocked out ED-E and his armor soaks all my damage except the new shotgun. Took him down eventually though and ED-E got back up for Round 2 with the other three. I've got a Hunting Rifle now to replace the Cowboy Repeater. Fully loaded too.

The only time I will play hardcore is when I am so skilled at this game that I know the exact stats, locations of items I'll need, and only quests I need to do to progress the main storyline.

Exploration! Hey a place called Harper's Shack, let's check out what's inside. Oh not much. I'll save while I'm in here, haven't done that in a while, now let's go outside.

Suddenly Blind Deathclaw that fucks me in .5 seconds. Game reloads...right next to the Deathclaw. Again and again and again and again. Finally, on the last reload I chugged a fuckton of drugs, took a Med-X, and just stood toe to toe with the bastard pumping a Thermic Lance into him until he dropped with Stimpacks as needed. Now to run the fuck away before more of these things show up.

So yeah, Deathclaw killed and I'm level 11. Not bad.
