that was partially because the wii got secret rings, which was decent at worst

while '06 was horrible at best

Apparently Eggman is in the game, but in a support role. Sonic chases him to Lost Hex, where Eggman tries to use the Deadly Six, but that immediately failed instead of just failing later, so he's helping Sonic beat them.

That's actually... a rather interesting premise.

I always sorta liked the premise of the good guy and the bad guy in a series working together to stop a common goal.

Would be interesting to see what Dr. Eggman has to say to Sonic without clobbering him...
