a 6 slotted doom is gonna have BoT,(tranquils to start), shivas guard for that armor deficiency, blink dagger, refresher, AC if no one else is a carrier( once again helps that armor problem), and bkb. of course allow for variation like heart (most probably instead of AC), heavens halberd, radiance, etc.
Tranqs are old-school yo, most Dooms these days rush boots>drums to keep their Scorched Earth on targets (after midas, of course). The midas pick-up allows him to almost double his GPM from anyone in the early game, so even if he gets pressured it's not difficult for him to come online. His kit's pretty good for that, too. Most teams focus their comps around getting him to that point. You'll eventually sell that drum for another item once the game goes past ~25 minutes. Rest of the items you listed are solid, just have to know what the buy order would be.
Sadly he's slowly getting phased out again anyway because he has zero counter-push (which is still the current dominant meta, even with early game high-aggro line-ups being fairly successful). It was nice to see him getting played. I will admit he was starting to become as obnoxious as Morphling during TI2, but he got banned more than picked so that helped.
