The story gets kind of terrible in Chapter 9 though what with that whole Barthandelus deal.

I

think you're thinking of a different game.

I got to the floating continent in FFVI and it's an ultimate pain in the booty

This place isn't even that big, but I keep running in circles and I'm pretty sure the encounter rate is like 3x normal

Finally bought System Shock 2 on GOG, I'll probably give it a go this week. I had originally planned on doing a second playthrough of The Witcher 2 first but I think that can wait.

I find it kind of strange that the best sword in FFVI can be found way before even the halfway point, even though it doesn't become the best sword until endgame due to the way it works.

It has learned and become self-aware.

Just wait, it'll be just like that one Doctor Who episode where the Tardis becomes a woman and romances the Doctor.

They did that? ...

Its probably good that they did it then before the Internet could have a chance.

It's supposedly a really popular episode. I think it's called The Doctor's Wife or something?

The Doctor's Wife was written by Neil Gaiman, so it's bound to be incredibly good. Now if only he were to write the plot for a game.

Playing The Last Remnant while Rift patches itself. After reading a few FAQs and the Wiki I've gotten a bit better at it, namely only engaging enemies one at a time to minimize BR and thus stat gains.

Still think it's a stupid system though. And Rush is still an idiot. Following a guide also.

Why do enemies in Mystic Quest that are resistant to status effects from weapons not only not get the effect, but also get reduced damage from said weapon? Why is that a thing?

What, you expect fair game from a JRPG?

Sounds like a Disgaea Dungeon.
