I decided that later today I will be buying the game.

Though from what Ive seen on the Yogscast, it will not be easy getting started, with slimes coming out of everything.

Slimes are easy, even at the begging, just make sure you are safe at night, cause when night hits all hell breaks lose, at least that's what it seems like when you start.

I got it, and played for about 6 hours straight

Still not very far. Built a second house, which the nurse moved into. Close to being able to get the merchant to move in to the third one I built.

Making weapons and armor sure takes a ridiculous amount of material.

Also, is anyone here running a multiplayer server? And whats the max number of people you can have on a multiplayer server?

technically its 255, but most stop at 8 cause of what it takes to hold a lot of people

Okay, so I finally got back from a long mining expedition alive

I found a place with two of those summoning slabs or whatever theyre called yesterday, and I found one more today

I got the merchant to move in, Ive found two of those life stones that increase your max health and Ive now got a mana bar.

Now that I have mana, how do I use magic?

Ok being serious now you find items that require manna to use.

Make a battle potion, faster spawn rate for enemies, to try to collect lenses to kill Cthulhu's eye, changes to night, says blood moon. OH HELL YA, I believe I had a 4x enemy drop rate, 2 for the blood moon and 2 for the potion, or I wasted a potion, but who cares, 18 lenses in the end. also got over 1 gold due to massive zombie spawns and a top hat.
edit: 2 blood moons in a row, guess this game is making up for me never having one till now.

Wordsmith plays Terraria: Day 2

So I went deep deep underground for about two hours today. Made it all the way to the stone level. Among other things I got a lot of emeralds, sapphire, and amethyst. Two gold chests, a bunch of gold, silver, iron, and copper, and a magic mirror (yesssssssssss).

Got another life crystal and another mana crystal.

After my long, dangerous journey, I used my magic mirror to go back to my house.
