Art style is exactly the same, some of it even recycled.
Final nightmare turns into both Aganihm and Ganon from LttP (with the trident). Aganihm doesn't appear in any other game so why would Link have any sort of fear towards this shadow?

Minish Cap and Wind Waker had the same art style but none was recycled, instead we had Link with Ezlo on him or no hat at all.
Aganihm clones don't count, a.k.a. the miniboss that can turn Link into a baby in Oracle of Ages.

I viewed Link's Awakening as Link trying to get back to Hyrule after Majora's Mask, but instead he ended up shipwrecked on an island.
