now for nuzlocks...when you get to a point in the game where say for instance bill gives you an eevee, whats protocol on that?

Personally I count that as potentially being the first Pokemon in an area. So like, if someone gives you an Eevee in a city, you can count the city as a route and it's not like you saw any other catchable Pokemon on that "route".

It depends on the player. Some think they're limited enough, so gift Pokemon don't count, others hate gift Pokemon because you don't catch them,or will use them as HM slaves (Lapras). Some people will use them if it's like a city and the first Pokemon they are able to get in the town.

It's kinda the same with a lot of things, it's down to personal distinction.

I know people that divide caves into floors for Pokemon catching in a Nuzlocke.
