The only part in any pokemon game I ever dread is where I have to use Flash.

I hate all the HMs except for Surf and Fly, which are vaguely useful.

I'd just make it an automatic overworld skill that kicks in when you defeat the relevant Gym Leader. So if you have a water type in your team, you can just surf without wasting a moveslot and so on.

Diamond's Victory Road has pushed me over the edge, demanding Surf, Strength, Rock Smash, Rock Climb and Waterfall to get through it.

Playing the PC version of FF7. Seriously, they use cloud saves and you can save only 10-15% of the time-.-. I just lost 4 hours worth of gameplay.

Oh god. When defend missions show up, I just hide in the nearest corner and cry.

To Points Unknown achievement in Tales of Vesperia. You have to travel 100K kilometers, which is way, way, WAY more than anyone would do normally and it doesn't carry over to sequential playthroughs. For perspective, I'm in the post-game on the second playthrough, did all the sidequests, did a ton of random traveling to fill in the map, left the controller hanging from something to make Ba'ul fly around constantly, and I still probably have several hours left to go of just letting it fly around. Already got pretty much everything I could on this playthrough, so this is the only thing holding me back from the next one for the last two achieves (Below level 15 when beating Barbos / Beat the storyline in under 15 hours).

I'm betting it's some BS thing like 100k kilometers ON FOOT.

No, it's just 100K kilometers. It CAN be done on foot, but considering the various posts I'm reading say that it took ten hours just flying nowhere with a rubber band strapped to the controller, then on foot would take considerably longer.

And this is REQUIRED for the Master of Vesperia achievement.

I hung up my controller on the door using a bottle holder and left it there at around 3 PM yesterday, periodically leaning over to push a button so it wouldn't go to sleep.

To Points Unknown just unlocked. Fucking finally, now I can finish the rest of the achievements by playing the game.

Cartography titles in Guild Wars. It sounds like a great idea you know, rewarding players for exploring the entire map. What it ended up being was running into walls for hours on end to try and gain that last 0.1% (what you uncovered on the map was a small radius around your character, and maps continued beyond the walls, so running into them allowed you to uncover the map behind the wall. Fortunately this was slightly compensated by the fact that it was possible to get more than 100%, so there was a slight margin of error).

I always get a bit antsy when exploring Dwemer ruins and by extention Falmer colonies, in Skyrim, as those are the most likely places for something to come up behind you from a hole you didn't notice.

related, I absolutely hated the traps in the Ayleid Ruins in Oblivion.

Like, they weren't even hard to see, but some of them were total BS, like the one that put up walls around you and you had to jump out fast enough or you would die from poison.

On that note, the Chaurus are also awful, Big creepy poison-spitting crawlies that are way too durable.
