I use those kinds of builds, really, I just get confused with what I gotta do to counter heroes, like their weakness and whatnot

well they dont really.... have...weaknesses. i mean like i guess you could count that they might be squishy as fuck as a weakness but thats not something you exactly counter lol

there are certain heros that do straight up HAVE counters, but most are just there, you counter them by killing them

ones that i can think of being countered and not having much effect on the game:
warlock, necro, storm spirit kinda, drow, treant protector, huskar and phoneix.

every melee hero can just be kited so thats a somethin i suppose

It's pretty straightforward honestly

Team getting wrecked by AoE spells -> Pipe of Insight
Getting stunlocked or nuked before you can do much -> Black King Bar
You're pretty tanky and the enemy carry likes to right click you -> Blade Mail
Enemy carry wrecking your shit -> Scythe of Vyse, Heaven's Halberd and Eul's scepter are also options depending on things
Enemy spellcaster being a dick -> Orchid of Malevolence
Invisibility -> Wards and dust, later Gem of True Sight and Necronomicon can be options

Also there are like 20 heroes you typically see in pubs, really no need to know all of them.

I like clinkz. He's a real neat idea, I need to learn to ult more as him though.

Legion and Terrorblade are pretty much my go-to serious mode heroes, mainly because both of them are pretty good at punishing mistakes hard with their ults (and initiating for Legion, but, come on this is a pub). Plus Terrorblade has that borderline OP early game slow.

Depends. If you pick Invoker or Meepo your first game, two minutes.

Noob update: Viper and electro whip guy are cool. Still don't understand why there has to be a ~se~cret~shop~ though

those are special items that make some of the better items in the game, and you can actually be killed (or courier be killed) while trying to get said items. this can potentially alter the game

Silences are really annoying as Alchemist. You start shaking your unstable concoction and *boom* silenced. I've blown up on myself countless times. And when you start snowballing everyone flees on sight and you can't hit anyone with it.

Secret shop just adds minor risk & reward to the game, i.e. watch out for yo' courier when it's flying there because if it gets killed with an important item for your recipe you're screwed for 2.5 minutes.

Viper is cancer, if you can do well with him you'll make people cry. Razor isn't seen that much but he's a reeeeally strong counter to certain melees, like Bloodseeker and Faceless Void. Most times I see him played he'll be put in a duo lane as an off-carry/3 role.

I don't know exactly how to build damage and stay survivable, so I'll just play [s]Skeleton[/s] Wraith King

well what are you trying to survive as cause it varies

I wanted to both survive their fed Ursa and also be able to help take down others.

Mainly I just stuned people for Blood to right click on, though It was funny when I got an Aegis and they had to kill me three times
