It never fails, I always use Soren. I try not to, but I can't help it. He's also the only mage I tend to use. Tormod be damned!

There is just something about Tormod and Ilyana that makes me hate using them. Soren is just awesome and an asshole.

Soren is a lovable asshole though.
I always forget Ilyana even exists, sorry fans. I only recruit her for completion sake.

How can you forget Ilyana? She's just so... hungry.
But every mage in that game is good except Bastion.

Bastion is so bad...I tried so hard to make him good. But alas, he fell into the pile of characters I don't use. He rests next to Astrid (I can just never seem to keep her alive) and Geoffrey.

During my last playthough of PoR, I somehow made Kieran into a complete beastly tank. He took over Gatrie's place, I don't know how.

Also Muarim placed second on the most killed list in that run. I pretty much used him all the way up till the final chapter, he just wasn't as useful in that last one. It makes me so sad that you can't use him very much in RD. Vika too. I wish I could have used them more.

I never use Ilyana because by when you get her, she can't double anyone like Soren can, and if if she does she rarely kills, like Soren does.

And I rarely use the laguz. Maybe early on in Hard mode because they saved my booty a lot. But once my human characters started getting really good I stopped needing to rely on them, so I stopped using them, except on the levels that really give me a hard time.

Also, Ike is a god, and Aether wrecks people's assholes.

I kinda really like the Laguz, even if they are not very useful sometimes, ok most of the time. You just need to know when to use them. In RD I just can't help but overuse Volug when I get him, but that might be do to Team Micaiah sucking hard. God, I hate their chapters.

By the end of the game in RD though, you have so many Laguz stones and Olive grass that you can use anyone that is high enough. Also you can have 2 Laguz Gems by that point, but I mainly give that to Reyson and Kurthnaga.

Videos of a guy playing hard mode of all games without ever gaining stats upon level up. He also goes for low turn count. Combine the two and you get fun times.

Beginning unit with low stats but good growths? Trash. Jeigans/prepromotes? Godsends. That treasure halfway across the map when you can end the map in one turn if you avoid it? It will live on in our hearts.

This person pits the characters against each other. In the beginning, she had the character fight each other with their normal growths and with caps and they all had Nihil.
Now well...

Not so much. Removed the caps, boosted stats, and some other growth things.
I don't know, I just like seeing these guys beat each other up.

So I just beat the chapter 26 in PoR, the massive one where you have 19 units.

I lost Mia to a Swordmaster with a Brave Sword that I wasn't expecting, and Haar to a barrage of long-range Sages. I never use Haar on regular maps so...I didn't care about him. And I decided to leave Mia dead even though I've used her since I got her. She just never got up to par with my other units, and I have Neph with my Vantage/Wrath ability combo so...I don't need her anymore, it's just sad though.

But only 3 more levels to go!

When you finally beat it, are you going to transfer data for RD hard mode?

If I transfer my data from hard mode PoR to RD would I have to do Hard mode, or could I pick normal mode.

I'm planning on doing RD, as I never got very far in it after I bought it.

I do NOT want to do that level over again. It wouldn't have been bad...but Mist couldn't get close enough to Physic Ike.

Restarted playing Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones. Playing on Hard and am up to Chapter 6 w/ Ross currently being a Pirate. Also, I am trying to use different people compared to my last play-through (More specifically, Niemi and Lute, replacing Arthur and Garcia).

It's Artur...no H.

Anyways, I figured out my horrible noob mistake as to why I lost to Ashnard.
I didn't want my healers to be in his attack zone, but the had to be to Physic Ike...but my healers are all mounted, so I could have healed and then retreated.
I don't know why I didn't realize this, but I'm rustled at myself.

But I'm replaying this level again in the hopes that it will all work out, so I can beat it finally and start Radiant Dawn.

EDIT: Whoooo! I finally beat him. When With the Laguz Lord you get, the second Ashnard fight in hard mode is pretty easy. But in the first fight, I lost a lot of guys, but I beat him eventually.
