The Sonic fans don't have anything left, so they have to make due with what they can get.

As opposed to a game that couldn't be bothered to come up with four characters.

And anything dressed like Jamie Hynneman > Anything that isn't. No exceptions.

Better than coming up with two new characters for each new game.

...I know this is entirely hypocritical of me, but how about we all just admit both games are good in their own way and stop the pointless arguing?

What made you think we're arguing? I'm pretty sure we all just decided both games suck in their own way instead!

I guess it's true that Toad and Also Toad are pretty lazy designs, but the more I play this game, the more I realize that's basically the only flaw. And then I guess if you're reasonable (ugh), I guess Nintendo realizes most people will opt to play this game by themselves or just have one more person. I despise the toads, but Wario and Waluigi might have been too much effort for too little appreciation.

'Sides, Waluigi is a party guy. No way he'd be stuck down with a main series game!

I mean, look at this guy!
Image

You think a guy like that is wanna spend his time hanging out with Mario?! Nah way dude, he's having way too much fun riding off ramps and launching blue shells to worry about tortoises! I mean, what, saving a princess? Pfft, this guy gets more dames a minute then you'll ever see in your lifetime! He doesn't have time to worry about one dumb broad!

They're MAD for him!

Waluigi would have been interesting just to see how Nintendo would have handled the hitboxes.

Not really. Lack of built in easy to use level editor, thats a pretty sizable flaw. So's lack of online play. No customisable characters, thats a big flaw.

See, thats the thing. LittleBigPlanet was a step foward for the 2D platformer genre. No-one can deny that without being either just a fanboy or just ignoring all the positives out of spite. This is a step backwards, not delivering to the level set. Thats a flaw.

I guess I never really thought much of a level editor. That would've been a nice addition, actually. Not that I use the one in Brawl, but still. Oh well, still a fun game.

Its a fair bit more advanced than the one in Brawl, just so you know.

Indigo, LBP is a good game, but that doesn't mean that EVERY platformer needs to be JUST like it. If it worked like that, every game would be exactly the same. And that would suck.

ANYWAY, I have a question for you guys that have this game. Do you select a character, or is the character you play as automatic based on whether you are Player 1, Player 2, etc.?

I found the level editor in brawl to be sadly basic.

I spent quite a while playing with it, and it was really hard to make a level which didn't feel very generic and uninspired.

The best level I was able to come up with after a while of screwing around with it, was absurdly simple (just three triangles), but at least it was neat to fight on. And I got to use my favorite videogame theme of all time.

If Brawl let me play with backgrounds and textures, it would have been a lot more interesting to make levels. Could've done some much cooler concepts. Hell, they don't even let you sculpt your own pieces :/
