Scariest game you've ever played

You know, when I got Bioshock, I expected it to give me a lot of things to post here, but it surprisingly didn't.

I did find the parts where the lights went out and you were temporarily in pitch darkness creepy, though. Unfortunately, that's pretty much it...

Weren't the Dead Hands those weird white things with the long necks, and they'd just stalk after you until they get close enough to RAPE YOU!

Doom 3 was, by far, the scariest game I've ever played

Edit: Looking a few pages back, I wholly agree with Cliffracers... You think you can catch a few hours of sleep outside anywhere near a hill/mountain and when you wake up, BAM!!!
You've got cliffracers raping you from every direction...

I don't know what dead things you're talking about. I think you might be thinking of the boss in the bottom of the well in OoT
I'm talking about the ones where you know they'll grab you but unless you look closely for shadows and shit isn't in the way to block you they grab you and throw you out of the temple/dungeon etc. Or the worse one's that are invisible unless you have the lens of truth and then they split into mini hands that scurry like spiders and choke you like darth vader.

Scary games, I find, aren't overly scary due to the fact that they are expected to be scary games.
That's why I only get properly scared by games when you're not expecting it- like in Metroid Prime 2 with those zombies. OH GOD THIS IS METROID ZOMBIES WHAT THE HELL DEMONIC POSSESION GAH, I CAN'T - oh wait, that was easy.

Also, when I was younger the whole of the Boo's Haunt level of Super Mario 64 scared the crap out of me.
And ANY timed thing. No matter what it is I just panic. Panic is knind of like fear, isn't it?

Oh my gosh, YES. I hated being timed. I would always freak out and then as soon as I completed the timed portion I wouldn't feel like playing the game any more that day... X|

Call of Cthluhu: Dark Corners of the Earth.

The parts where you're walking through sewers, and you're hallucinating, seeing and hearing things, and you can hear your character slowly becoming more and more insane... it's just creepy.

It was apparently too much to ask that you use a flashlight at the same time as a gun! Those customers must have been crazy, who would think such a thing is meant to be possible?!

I'm such a wimp. Silent Hill 3 and 4.
Resident Evil 4 with the IRON MAIDENS. (Saw a lot of Regenerators, personally the Iron Maidens are worse to me.)
