I'll admit, that ending is rekindling my interest in playing through ME3 again.

I might use it after Omega DLC comes out.

Kaidan is an absolute booty in ME2 from what I remember.

Then again, it's probably because I chose T'Soni over him.

Both of them are in ME2.

Kaiden makes up for it in ME3.

You ARE kinda working for an organization that, to them, is only working for their own best interests. and then we find out later that that this STILL isn't too far from the truth even during ME2. With Kaiden it's more "I'm disappointed in you" where Ashley's like "OMG you're with THEM I HAIT YOU!" where Kaiden then listens to reason. Ashley keeps going as though you left her for her hotter, younger sister.

Not really understandably. Ashley is just plain fucking hostile to Shepard, even after it's established to her that you're not part of Cerberus anymore.

Kaiden has the exact same reaction as she does in ME2, the difference is he ends up actually getting past it. Ashley is just this constant, consistent bitch. She wasn't really like that in ME1, even if she wasn't the best person she was at least not bad, but ME2 and 3 basically make her the worst possible.

Well yeah, that's what I mean. Eventually Kaiden was like "this is stupid" and decided that it was stupid to hold grudges like that over someone you know isn't an asshole. Whether or not it was some sense of apathy Kaiden had that also made him look boring I don't know.

My problem with Kaiden was that there was no character development to him in ME1. I mean, Ashley had problems but as the story went on she actually got over a lot of them.

Kaiden basically boiled down to "oh hey yeah i kinda had some problems BUUUUTT they don't affect me at all so i've already gone through my character growth"

he sprouts some new issues in ME3, but in ME1 he's just THERE and it's like okay so i don't give a shit about you

I liked Kaden. Sure he didn't have any real character development, but his professionalism was a welcome change from The Lower Deck of The Daddy Issues. Also Liara had family problems also.
