I can't really do co-op since I don't have Xbox Live Gold so guess I won't be doing a Faith build anytime soon then.

Dex Great Scythe is fun enough anyway. Regular +15 so I can still use resins and buffs.

you dont have to, it just gets that much better once you've done it.

you can also run a faith build around "grant", which needs lke i think 50 str and 30 faith

Faith is not a bad thing to put points into.

I'd be scared of an INT Faith build. That's a pretty legitimately terrifying thought.

Pft Seath goes down like a chump.
Also I'm at the end now and this is suddenly a trippy JRPG final dungeon what's up with that?

the kiln isn't very jrpgish, it's pretty western

i mean the whole game is a little japany but that's... that's because it was made in japan. so

Dude, it opens with me walking through the afterlife of the black knights, that's pretty RPG endgame.
I really don't mean in architecture so much as in mood, although the washed-out colors remind me of the first half of Lunar Sub-terrain from FF4 anyway. It's no Cleft of Dimensions/Sin though.

I dunno, an area filled with ghosts isn't very eastern or western.

It isn't really. I just meant "trippy final dungeon outa nowhere" and I've played way more JRPGs then WRPGs so I associate RPGs in general with JRPGs. Either way the Kiln is a really weird tone shift from "epic but depressing dark fantasy adventure" to just plain "depressed."

yeah the last half of the game is just a trip through places that are completely fucked and have no hope of ever becoming unfucked

the first flame is still gonna die eventually, anor londo may never be repopulated, new londo is now letting out scores of darkwraiths, izalith will never recover from it's demon infestation even after killing the bed of chaos, seath's archives will just fall into disrepair, and hilariously enough the tomb is gonna stay right the fuck the same.

this is not a pop flyin' game

EDIT: Also if anyone is like on the Xbox version, SL 110-130ish, and has a spare great scythe, I will gladly help you fuck up any bosses for that scythe because I need one that is fire. I need it with all my need and I don't want to go to NG++ yet

Why not go for +15 and just use resins?

because resins don't give the same damage

Charcoal resin adds 80 fire damage directly, but that's not the same as a fire weapon, which splits the damage half-and-half. A fire great scythe at +10 is gonna deal 480 total damage, it's going to always deal some damage regardless of whether or not it hits a shield. Because of armor differences, it also has a chance to potentially deal more damage than a +15, because sometimes armor has less fire defense than physical.

And if it's not working, that's what I have the +15 regular and the +5 lightning great scythes for.

If Dark Souls enforced weapon collision when sheathed you'd be the one getting stuck in doorways with all those scythes arching over your head like flags.

My game seems to be a bit bugged today. All kinds of stuff flickers. Fire, messages, lighting...it just kinda flickers on and off. It makes it hard to dodge other players' spells when you can't see them.

If you're playing on a console, make sure your disc is clean and not scratched.
