Lucky 7 is just the weirdest item.

I basically just keep hitting the button and hope for the best!

Lucky 7 works by using the item that's directly in front of you.Took me a bit to learn that.

Gee fucking whiz the difficulty ramp up from 100 cc to 150 cc is steep.

That's what I hear!

Guess I lucked out to get a triple star in special 150cc on my first try.

In 150cc, it's like the CPU Karts are running with 200cc motors while you're stuck with a 150cc one.

I find it difficult to tell if collecting the coins really gives you a speed boost in this thing - as described in the manual.

Yeah, the lowest star rating I've gotten on my first try in any of the cups/classes on this thing is two stars - and that still bothers me because it means I have to do that cup/class again.

I like the three-part course idea re: Wuhu Island/Mountain and Rainbow Road 7 - kinda threw me at first.

Haha, went online to raise my VR a few points and get a little closer to that Golden Kart.
I chose SNES Rainbow Road and LAPPED the person coming last by the end, with the person in second only just approaching the split in the track.

Said person coming second had a higher VR than me. God I love that place.

And now I have collected Rainbow Roady stuff

I prefer doing battle to raise VR. They seem quicker and the coin matches are easy since once you get 10 coins, it's time to run and hide which results in little to no people chasing after you at all.

I have done a few races online and did well, but a mistake in a race is worse than a battle.

Not for me. I'm terrible when it comes to battles, but give me a race and I will stand in the upper half.
