7 is good and was the first localized

8 is good too and a little easier since it has the option grinding in the tower, so you can level recruits and stuff

though those are GBA, FE9 is GC and 10 is Wii

FE 11 is Shadow Dragon for DS, and not as good. FE 9 is GC, and 10 is Wii.

My hard mode run of Sacred Stones continues swimmingly now that I've escaped chapter 11, only Garcia died. If only he had a few more exp he could've used that hero crest and lived.

Yeah, you really can't go wrong with any of them. They're all similar...but they each have their own differences in the mechanics and whatnot to prevent the series from getting too stale. just know that Radiant Dawn on the Wii is a sequel to Path of Radiance on the CG...but I'm not sure how much the story ties together, really.

And as I'm playing PoR Hard Mode, I can only really finding myself yearning to play RD again. I stopped after Part 1, but I'm eager to pick it back up, as it is the only localized game I haven't played all the way through. And I'm actually paying attention to the PoR story, support convos, and all the little bits of dialogue.

Also, I'm having a hell of a time remembering not to press B to skip all the dialog, and I find myself having to go back and read the logs CONSTANTLY. Fuck, I hope I can learn not do keep doing this.

I have to recommend Sacred Stones. It was my first FE game and it seems like it introduces the seperate mechanics of the game such as the weapon triangle/trinity of magic/etc. at a reasonable pace. Plus the Tower of Valni is available for level grinding, like Bacon said.

Still stuck on hard mode chapter 11 (Ephraim route). I'm considering deploying some of the units I never plan on using as bait, let them die for me.
Why has it come to this?

Phantom Ship, right? Man, I remember playing through that one on hard and clearing almost all the baddies... and then one of them killed a unit of mine, had to redo the whole thing, pfffffffffffffft!

I'm on chapter 13 (Ephraim's route, Hard) right about now, but I haven't played in awhile. I should go back and do that.

I'm trying to go about the Prisoner Release map via stealth mode. It is fun/a pain in the booty.

Argh, I'm kinda regretting going through PoR on Hard Mode. Holy shit this is a pain in the booty.

Also, I think that having a level editor in future games would be awesome. You could design the terrain and place units and stuff and send them off to friends. I would love that.

I almost didn't think I would beat chapter 14 Ephraim route on hard, especially with having to cart around near useless L'Arachel to get Rennac. Sleep and Berserk are not supposed to be that accurate, the only way I got past it was by luck that they kept berserking L'Arachel and not either Moulder who was the only one who can wield Restore or Seth who could kill everyone. I freaked out when the other Druid moved to Berserk the left side as well, but this did give an opening for the right team to open the gate and lure the coming shamans away from the dangerously low on health left team who were being swarmed by the knights originally on the right and mages spawning from the left. Barely survived.

Ugh, I've been using Mist as my primary healer in PoR because Rhys died, but she is such a goddamn burden and she makes me rage constantly.

It helps that upon promotion she gains a mount so she can heal&run or rescue an ailing ally. Don't bother with her sword rank unless you have a bunch of arms scrolls and a spare wind sword. And pretty much every sage can use staves, so it's not that worrisome.

Well, I also want to keep her alive for the Black Knight fight.
And I use Soren as my back-up helaer if Mist can't get to someone, because I'd rather attack with Soren because he's a fucking powerhouse and can pretty much kill any enemy right away

EDIT: I've decided to just use a Master Seal on Mist, I have like 3 of them I don't plan on using seeing as everyone else has ranked up and Mist just turned level 10...and I need the mobility upgrade so she doesn't lag behind and I don't constantly have to worry about her.
