AWKWARD ZOMBIE

Inkbrush allows you to move SUPER fast. Pretty crappy at splatting though. Also, I cannot stress how much I love theSquid Sisters song during the final boss. It's timed so perfectly. You've gone through 4 sections of the map, DJ Octavio's sending more and more attacks each time. The tennis fight with the giant missiles getting pretty tough. Then this song kicks on, and Agent 1 and 2 get you super stoked to deliver the final blow. Then do it 3 more times for the amiibo.

Gotta give credit to the 5th teammate.

turns out that having varied and actually useful weapons in ranked play MAKES A DIFFERENCE

It took a week but I finally got my booty out and got Splatoon (on Friday but I haven't had time to post). Having a blast so far. Need to do more of the single player stuff though.

Note to self, do not play when it's like 1 am and all the Japanese players are on and in full force.

You will also notice the latency is out in force at that time.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Got a few disconnects a couple of times and some match start up lag a few times.

Some Japanese player was spawn camping in my last play session.

It was the same person over 3-4 matches. I finally got them in the last match though.

What level is everyone at right now? I'm only level 9 because my work schedule is garbage.

You're invincible in your spawn, you should've been able to super jump or throw a bomb or something

20 'cause my life consisted only of work, playing splatoon, ogling LEGO and writing my splatoon log/fiction.

They were a little ways away from the spawn point. Basically after you went forward a little bit, there they were.

I didn't use super jump because I kept jumping to other players who were getting shot at by three guys and got instant killed. I like to swim out of the spawn point at least some of the time to clean up all the enemy ink that inevitably pushes into our territory.

Jump all the time in Kelp Dome though. That place is big.

If everyone is stuck in spawn then there's no super jumping. Also, if the only person you can jump to is at risk of dying and does so mid-jump, then the moment you land you're probably going to be dead.
As for bombs/etc, you are trapped in spawn, while the camper has free reign of movement around the corner. Kelp Dome has a much more open spawn point so camping should be harder.

This is exactly what happened, multiple times. I'll jump if I can see that we have two allies in the same area, but I just prefer swimming. Lets me clean up and get my bearings better.



This is where I finally got them. Their trick was to hold the first chokepoint close to the spawn point, then send in those homing bombs, shooting to finish you off if the bomb didn't kill you. As Kelp Dome has two more divergent paths you can go at the start, I was able to get around and get them from another angle.

Didn't see them again after that.

I'm finally getting Splatoon.
Should get here about the time the microsoft E3 press conference is on.


The hype though.
