On the same page that Great Handsome Oppressor already posted the rule about not being a dick?

Give it a rest, fellas.

Talk video games or go home.

Despite the massive overreaction, Brent has a few good points.

The cash grab thing I don't agree with, though. Yes, it's a cash grab, but when it comes down to it, Nintendo is a BUSINESS. When are we going to stop acting so surprised when companies do this? And the 2DS definitely isn't going to RUIN GAMING. No one is suddenly stopping anyone from buying a 3DS and the games are still the same.

I was on the fence about getting the 3DS in the first place, so I'll probably get the 2DS instead.

Anyone else run into a problem with the original 3DS where if you have it on and place it on a hard surface/knock the bottom half into something, it turns off? It happens to me on occasion and I'm wondering if it's just mine or some kind of problem with all of them.

Mine's never done that, but usually when I leave it somewhere I close it.

I've had a problem where my systems tend to shut down if I leave them in standby, especially in my pocket, but I can never manage to deliberately replicate it.

I got my 3DS about a week and a half ago and it had dead pixels on the touch screen out of the box, I don't want to bother getting it replaced by the store and I can just have Nintendo fix it, but Pokemon comes out in a few weeks and I doubt I'll get it back in time.

The regional Nintendo rep stopped in our store the other day to update are Wii U display with some new demo's and previews and such and she had a 2DS with her to let us screw around so we could discuss it with customers, though I wasn't working at the time unfortunately. From what my boss was telling me it's actually pretty decent. It's sturdier and thicker than he thought it would be, but still felt pretty good in his hands. He even said it was more comfortable to hold than the 3DS, though I'm sure this will vary between people with different sized hands. I'd probably get one myself if I didn't already have a 3DS, just cause its cheaper and I never use the 3D function anyway.

Yo Kev, Nintendo's pretty quick about that stuff. You should just send it out now, they'll have it back to you in just two weeks.

I visited my friend who works at GameStop on Wednesday, and a Nintendo Rep just happened to be there around the same time. She took some pictures of me and the employees trying out the 2DS for the first time. It's lighter than I expected, and while I can't say if that's good or bad, it fit in my hands well and I'd think it would work well for younger children.

My friend said she could see getting it for her 4 year old daughter, and I told the rep this would be perfect for my cousins.

Nintendo has shut down Swapnote and Flipnote Memo 3D because of people sharing porn through them.

So how much of this until you give us accounts, Ninty?

I imagine they were going to be getting rid of swapnote soon anyways with them trying to fit Miiverse on the 3DS. It does what Swapnote does and does it better, after all.
