"what's next" is a bunch of buffs and nerfs, including a batallion's backup buff and a dead ringer nerf, as well as set bonuses no longer being linked to the sets but to the individual items within the sets.

Both the buff and nerf introduced so far seem fair.

I genuinely do not understand the dead ringer nerf

Spamming explosives and fire is so easy that is makes the cloaking watch and CnD much more difficult than they should be, and it shows in how many consider the dead ringer mandatory just to be able to survive that spam to have a chance to get into position; spy doesn't have the range of the sniper, the speed or tools of the scout or the protection of a sentry, leaving the DR as his only means of defense

Why not make the other two better instead of destroying the one viable one

To be fair, this isn't any kind of nerf really anyways. If a spy is cloaked and on fire, he will very quickly have the attention of fucking everyone on him anyways. That spy is dead as shit the second he's lit aflame.

The DR honestly makes the spy playable normally; because of how excessively easy it is to find a spy using the normal cloaking watch, more people will simply stop playing Spy than use the other watches and the frustration that is guaranteed to come with them

I mean, for fucks sake, Darkflameshadowcool the Gibus heavy can drain my DR from vaguely pointing in my direction from the other side of the map

Was six seconds seriously too genuinely difficult to wait out?

if you think the DR is the best spy watch you really need to rethink basically everything because that is so wrong it is completely hilarious how wrong

it's a lot easier to be inconspicuous if you're invisible when you need to be and not having to gain attention first

I have a good 130 hours played as a DR spy and this nerf was absolutely unnecessary. It had already been nerfed more than once.
