I finished a match in the SC4 tower earlier after clashing with my opponent and we both fell down, our health bars both looked empty so I figured it was a draw, but I got back up and the opponent stayed down so I thought I won, then I got a MISSION FAILED

my only guess is that we double KO'd, but my HP drain kicked in and kept me alive, but not before registering a tie, which I assume is a loss for the player

anybody know if this thing is any good? because I just picked one up earlier today (mostly because it was only $20 and it's basically this or just my standard PS3 controller).

I never saw this before but, it seems to be designed after the classic Genesis controller. Seeing as the Genesis controller is great for fighting games, the controller you got seems really good.

I've tried it, and it works very well. The buttons are very responsive. I'd actually advocate getting one of those over using a standard DualShock because you won't get a callous on your thumb like I did. That being said, there are some drawbacks:

The placement of the start and select buttons is absolutely terrible.
It's very easy to hit the L1 and R1 buttons accidentally when using the Alpha control layout in Marvel vs. Capcom 3. This can call out assists at very inopportune times.
Short-hopping backwards and doing a Hadouken immediately afterwards takes a lot of practice because the stick slides a bit strangely.
Does not work with Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition's PC version.

I got Tatsunoko vs Capcom: Ultimate All Stars. Using the simple controls because I don't have a classic controller and only one GC controller. It's a lot of fun and easy to pick up.
