I usually do fine, I think it was mostly pressure because, Jesus, you're fast.

Also, what kart was that anyway? I haven't gotten it yet.

I think shadow does so well because most matches are only 2 people, and it's a lot harder to item spam the guy in 1st if there's only one person with second-place items attacking him. And with such little resistance, the speed brought by his heavy characters goes un-redshelled, and he never starts the slow ascent to top speed again.

I do quite well with plenty of people racing at one time, but 1 on 1 is easier. Less people = Less items being used = Less stopping = Less need for acceleration. Still, even a race with 8 people doesn't stop you much since you only get hit by red shells in first spot and the unwelcome lighting power-up and blue shell. I just find that a lot of acceleration is unneeded in racing, more for battles IMO.
