I was under the impression killing Alexander was the good option

I mean, the dude begs you to put him out of his misery.

Who was the guy wholocks himself in the building, and tells you to get a camera and other things. He ended up like, abusing(totally the wrong word) the Little Sisters

You are supposed to SAVE Alexander, not kill him. His pre recorded tape says to kill him, but because I got an achievement for not killing all of them, I assume that it was right not to kill him.

Nope. You're supposed to kill him. The dude is a monster, and his last sane request is to put him down. The good, honest, moral option is to kill him. The bad option is to let him live, because he won't change at all, and he'll still be just as evil.

That's Sinclair.
He's one of the look-out-for-yourself types, like how Atlas was. However, he's not really evil about it, and when you make decisions he wouldn't have, he complements you on how you're a stronger man than he and such. By the end he's gone above and beyond helping you, and he's really just a well written character. Really was sad that you have to kill him.

Then why did I get an achievement for saving all of them? That means it MUST be the good option. Sure, Alex's prerecorded message tells you to kill him, but Alex begs for mercy regardless.

I decided to buy the Minerva's Den DLC

holy shit that ending.
I started to piece together that Porter was the Thinker and Sigma is Porter when I heard the log saying how Ryan's secret police were coming to find him.
But man, that was pretty cool!
