Animal Husbandry. Just like Red Mage!

Mining.

I don't think Red Mage knew what animal husbandry was. Which is either more hilarious or more horrifying.

I bet the Aztecs would love a Golden Chocobo.

You have decided to research Pottery and build another Jaguar

You have also decided to send your original Jaguar to explore the WONDERS OF THE EAST

Image

He has found some Sugar (more luxury resources that require the Calendar technology, which comes after Pottery) as well as some Stone (if you build a Quarry on these, they will greatly increase your city's Production (how fast it builds stuff) but requires the Masonry technology which comes after Mining)

It also turns out that the WONDEROUS EAST is just an ocean. Lame.

Now what

EDIT: You have also found the Great Barrier Reef and some Pearls (luxury resource) to the east. If it comes within your borders you'll get a fuckton of stuff as well

Can you try to expand? (I've never heard of this game before don't kill me for not knowing)
If not, research mining.

You can expand in one of two ways: Culture moving your borders outward or founding new cities with a Settler. We can't build a Settler yet since we only have 1 Citizen in our city and the border expansion does it on its own. (you can also purchase border growth with gold but this is already getting pretty complicated)

We can't research Mining yet since Pottery is not yet finished. I'll count you as voting for Mining as the next tech.

The Great Barrier Reef is to the east of the Aztecs?

By any chance is this game American made? *shot*

Looks pretty interesting. I can't remember if I've played a civilization game before (if I did, it's been like 10 years) or just something fairly similar to it. For now I guess I'll lurk and see what happens.

You have explored north up the coastline and discovered a City State called Bucharest. What a bunch of fags they are, but they might be of use later.

(City States are like other Civilizations, but they only have the one city. You can pay them/do stuff for them to make them like you more. If you do this, they'll give you shit)

You have also found some Silver (more luxury) which requires Mining

Image
Pottery has finished researching. What next?

Sailing will allow you to build naval units/buildings if the city is near an ocean

Calendar will allow you to build the Stonehenge wonder (which is really good for Culture) as well as Plantations for those Sugar resources. It also allows you to build a Stone Works if you have a Quarry built, which gives you a bunch of good stuff

Writing will allow you to build Libraries which will improve make you research stuff faster as well as the Great Library wonder.

You can also pick one of the earlier ones, which will go faster

Image
The Jaguar will be completed next turn. What should he do? What should we build next?

Jaguar, attempt to attack the city state/Explore to the south.

Build a monument, then Granary.

We can, but it won't do much good right now. We don't have enough gold to bribe them and they haven't asked us to do anything yet

Plus they probably don't have that much free shit yet

If you take the city state you also get all their stuff although taking cities is generally a bit difficult
