I miss the shopping music from the original sims so much. SO MUCH.

why isn't it in 2 or 3?

I mean, when people think "THe Sims" and "Music", isn't this what comes to mind?

I'm fairly certain it's in the console version of Sims 2.

I love the music from all three games (though sadly, I played Sims 2 the least), but the theme music from 3 blew me away from the first time I loaded the game on my brand new laptop.

This is what I think of when I'm thinking of Sims.

And I totally don't hum this in my head when I'm walking around at times. Why would you think that?

The Shopping Spree music makes me instantly think of a 50's nuclear family out grocery shopping

"GEE WHIZ POPS I SURE WOULD LOVE SOME SUGAR SNAP-O'S CEREAL, ALL THE COOL KIDS THINK ITS REALLY KEEN!"

"BABBA BEE BOO BOOBA BEDO BADDA HADDA RADD TEENGA TOP LA, DI LO DA"

"WHAT"

its perfect

i think that was the intention with that song!

A lot of the original Sims music sounds very 50s nuclear family if you ask me.

But I love it

This one brings back so many memories.

And the building mode music is just beautiful.

Yeah, I always had a million times more fun building houses than playing the game. When I would play they game, I always made them gay because that was more fun. But they would be unsocial slobs and get depressed and not do anything. Fuck.

I have the urge to buy the Sims 3 but I know for a fact I'll only use it to build those magnificent houses.

I find the actual game to be incredibly dull. (Coming from someone who's only ever played the first)
Except the Urbz. My god that game was magnificent. I've been wanting to play it again for while now.

Yeah, The Urbz is probably the best Sims console game, though Bustin' Out was fun too. The only main flaw I can think of is that if you didn't interact with people frequently your reputation would go down, so you couldn't really spend much time in your apartment. If I remember correctly, even if you invite people over and interact with them it doesn't raise your reputation.
I agree that The Sims 3 gameplay can be a little dull, which is why I have more fun playing it all goofy like, such as designing a four-level labyrinth underneath a shack or something like that. It takes more time than you'd think, and you'd be surprised how creepy you can make it with such little to work with.

I remember watching my dad play Sims. He was always terrible at it. Like, his Sim's house burned down because he couldn't cook terrible.
