It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Defence, with areas such as the Environment and Social Welfare receiving almost no funds by comparison. The average income tax rate is 100%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Information Technology and Uranium Mining.

Kalekemo's army is full of two-metre tall super-soldiers, most of the nation's wealthy aristocrats are dentists, manual labourers must be willing to have cybernetic limbs to get a job, and retiring citizens are dragged away in the middle of the night by mysterious men in black suits. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Kalekemo's national animal is the Werewolf, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Credit.
