HOW DID I MISS THIS THREAD?

I've been playing Layton for the last three days, all day...


I've replaced my blood with puzzles.

GODAMMIT! I thought my choice between Batman: Arkhem Asylum and Dissidia: Final Fantasy was hard enough! Now I have THIS game to consider too!

Someone tell all these good games to stop coming out or something!

I only have a Wii and a DS.

My choices are limited.

Pretty much the only things I'm left looking forward to this year are New Super Mario Bros Wii, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, and Scribblenauts.

It's time like these I really wish I still had my DS. Especially with Gyakuten Kenji coming out soon.

I also have a Gamecube and a PS2, but nothing new (at least nothing new good) comes out on either of those anymore.

Gezz the ant puzzle took me for ever!

I still despise the Disappearing Act puzzles.
Once you get to DA#4 they don't even give you fucking Hints.

You give them the Hint Coin, and they're like "lol no Hints, but here's some Trivia!"

I just got Diabolical Box yesterday. It's the first one of the series I've played. I'm loving it so far, I just got to Folsense.

It looks awesome. I was impressed by how smooth the cutscenes are. Some of the lower ranked puzzles seem to be impossible, regardless of the fact that they're supposed to be simple. Like when [spoiler]On the Pro Golfer puzzle, you're 20 feet from the hole and you can only put distances of 3,5,7 or 11. It askes you the fewest number of strokes to the hole if you're allowed to go over the hole and putt it back in. Any way you do the math, it takes four strokes. Except that answer is wrong, BECAUSE IT'S TWO. You're supposed to angle your putt perfectly so that two 11 foot putts will hit the hole. [/spoiler]

Thats why I dislike this game. The puzzles. They're fun sometimes but there are a lot that are too hard because there's this little trick that you have to know to solve it. And in the previous Professer Layton game it always had a clue if you didn't get the right answer, but now it just says something like "Did you look at the clues close enough? Think of another answer and try again." That golfing puzzle I actually got right on accident.

I had the same problem with that puzzle.. And the Garlic one.

The problem about playing "The Final Time Travel" is writing japanese, when you thought you wrote it right, the game says it's wrong.

One of the many reasons why I'm not touching the game until it gets an English localization, no matter how far away it is. I can't begin to pretend I know Japanese on any level. >->;

Some people couldn't wait that long for another game, so they play it for spoilers. (Yeah, that includes me.)
