I've been saying how much I like Professor Layton and the Curious Village, but a few of the puzzles in the game are absolute bullshit. I expect a lot of the puzzles from Wi-Fi to be the worst of the worst.
By bullshit you mean that some puzzles are incredibly easy or that they are insanely hard?
I also shall add that while in some hard puzzles the hints almost give the answer right away, in others some hints don't say anything at all. Makes me double think before using a hint coin.
By bullshit I mean very poorly worded.
If you ever plan on playing Professor Layton and the Curious Village, please don't click on any of these links, because they include puzzle solutions. Well, the puzzles I've linked all suck, so maybe it wouldn't be so bad if you looked. After all, I had to look at the answer for Puzzle 67, because Puzzle 67 just suuuuuucks.
Puzzle number 52 (Find a Star) isn't necessarily poorly worded, per se, but it kept rejecting my answer because I drew the star five-line-style instead of just the outline. :/ Don't be such a bitch, puzzle. It's still a star.
Puzzle 53 (Fish Theif) has multiple combinations of ways that two people are telling the truth and one is lying. For example: A ate the fish, but B is lying when he says, "I saw A eat that fish right up!" Just because B didn't see A eat it doesn't mean A didn't eat it. :/
Puzzle 67 (The Chocolate Code) FFFFF THE CHOCOLATE CODE.
Puzzle 84 (Which Box to Move?) would be a lot easier if they just took the time to mention that you can label the boxes on any side, not just the top.
Number 87 (Ferris Wheel Riddle) is possibly the worst in the game. The problem states, "The Ferris wheel turns so that
one car rotates through the exit platform every minute." The maker of this puzzle obviously didn't notice that this sentence can be interpreted two ways: One car rotates all the way around and goes through the exit platform every minute; or: A car (any car) goes through the exit platform every minute. This is the difference between the wheel completing one full rotation in 1 minute, and in 10 minutes. Turns out it was the latter. At first, I thought it was the former. FFFFFFFFFUUUUCKYOOOOOUUUU.
Puzzle 100 (Seven Squares) has many ways to solve it, following all of the rules, but you have to do it in a certain way. Basically, you can't know what to do without looking at a hint.
TL;DR: some puzzles just suck. I get the feeling they were just thrown into the game. The makers should have spent a little more time on them.
