he looks pretty cool. i'm probably gonna play him. at least so long as i don't have to look at his face-mrggh. that model is more than a little uncanny valley for me.

Yeah, I like Lucio. I think so far he's the only male character I'm actually interested in playing as at any point.

I'm used to getting in and out of tight situations quickly and being able to flee immediately if things escalate too far for me to handle, so Tracer's still the most suitable for my play style.

I can't bring myself to look at either of them long enough to read their backstories or abilities. However I'm gonna guess by Junkrat's hair apparently being on fire that we've finally got someone who likes to burn people.

Also, if I've counted right, we've now got 4 more male characters than female ones. We started with a balance, and now we've lost that. I just hope to be pleasantly surprised later.

Does anyone know if the beta's got a set date yet? It should be autumn in the US now, after all. It's been spring down here for nearly a whole month.

Beta invites are out, watched some streaman' and it looks pretty amazing honestly.

The gameplay I've seen so far looks pretty daisies fun.

I wonder how they're gonna monetize it. It looks like there are skins for each character. I also wonder if they're planning on adding characters over time LoL-style or releasing big updates with groups of characters.

They've said before that they don't want to sell the actual characters, they want people to be able to play the characters from the moment they buy the game.

Also Blizzard has said they will keep flagging accounts until the end of the beta. Mind you only 1% of everyone who has applied for it are actually in.

my speculation:
There will most likely be a moment in November when they flag a bunch of accounts at once as a stress test.
(less speculation more "please please please just let me play it.")

well, considering the fact that they've explicitly stated they're going to have weekends with a far larger playerbase (though still account flagging instead of just letting everyone play, fuck if i know why) for stress testing, that seems unlikely.

I am really curious how D.Va will play. I think it'd be rad if she played completely different than everyone else. Have her be top down on the battlefield, and control little robot droids or something.
