The enemies look like beef jerky but the music and other atmospheric sounds are still just as creepy as they were when the game released.

Beef Jerky terrifies me.

Thought to myself: fuck it, I'll get Skyrim Legendary even though I already have regular Skyrim. Cause legendary is cheaper than buying the DLCs seperately and I doubtl they'll go any lower any time soon. I hope I can use my savegames on it. Or maybe I'll just start a new one anyway.

So...nothing on Dark Souls, then? Just going to assume nobody's heard of it?

Dark Souls is fine but be sure to get a mod that fixes controls cause I heard they fucked that up a bit when porting from xbox.
Take the title bodaciously, too. You gonna die a lot.

I played through Dark Souls on PC and I know there's a fix to make M+KB controls better but I only used a controller so I can't comment on how well that works.

I like Skullgirls. I think it's a fine example of what independent development and crowdfunding can achieve. Some of the character designs are really great and unique. But if you don't like playing fighting games that are competitive, then don't get it. If you don't like playing fighting games that are competitively boring, don't get it. If you want a nice presentation and music, fun characters and nice little stories, do get it.

a bit late because the flash sale ended last night, but I got it anyway

Not planning on playing with flesh and blood losers anyway, gonna play this the same way I play smash bros (alone, against computers)

What does "competitively boring" mean anyway? Is it like how if anyone is even half good at Street Fighter 4 they're going to use Ken or Sagat

No, all the characters are viable, but most of them have very similar metagames of first combo => hardly noticeable throw or cross-up => long combo that's probably gonna kill one character => hard-to-see cross-up or throw on second character's arrival, rinse and repeat. The characters' unique traits only show in the neutral game and in their movesets, but the neutral game disappears after the first combo is landed. The only exceptions are Peacock and kinda Parasoul who can play the zoning game.
Also the whole Ken and Sagat thing is very exaggerated

Dishonored is now up for sale, along with the GOTY edition. Grabbed that one along with Trine 2. Gonna wait on Bioshock Infinite until it gets the GOTY edition, probably Winter sale.

I might have to get Trine 2 if it comes up on sale again. Just finished running through the first one with some friends.

Well, Borderlands 2 GOTY is on sale but not nearly as much as it should be for the game's age. Dishonored is a month younger than it and it was way more heavily discounted.

Probably because it didn't have another 60 bucks' worth of DLC. Also, wow, Max Payne 3 is 4€. I've heard really mixed opinions about it though, and I still haven't played 1 and 2, so eh.

Eh, I'll just wait. Skyrim Legendary got to $20 so that'll be my line. Maybe BL2 will hit it during the winter sale.

The interesting part is that the BL2 game itself is 75% off...but the DLC (which is incredibly fragmented) is only 33% off. So the people who just have the game and want the DLC are also disappointed judging by the Steam forums, especially since they have to get their DLC piecemeal.

EDIT: Haha, scratch that! Just found BL2 GOTY edition for $15 on GetGamesGo. Says it's a Mac sale, but it gives a Steam key so it works on both. Excellent.
